"The Major Bang Theory" honors Leonard Nimoy - Enterprise Insider
If you view "The Big Bang Concept," you'll know the CBS hit series often references "Star Trek" actor Leonard Nimoy.
Lead character Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is obsessed with Nimoy. On a single episode, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) gave Sheldon a employed napkin signed by the actor.
Nimoy even guest-starred in a season five episode, voicing a tiny action-figure Spock.
Right after the actor passed away February 27, Thursday's episode of "The Major Bang Concept" paid tribute to the actor, ending on a portrait of Nimoy with the caption "The affect you had on our display and our lives is everlasting."

The show's social media accounts followed suit with Sheldon providing the "Star Trek" Vulcan salute that Nimoy popularized on the series.
