Yet another compilation of my avis. I like to look back at the past outfits and see how my style has shifted. I tend to use a lot of the same items though. I buy so many, but I don't think I've worn 80% of them...
< January: A simple princess avi that had been sitting (mostly finished) in my closet for months. Hoarfrost Pass haircut + Castle Town removed the front locks of hair and the back of the Solair dress. It's mostly a mash-up of light blue/white items.> February: Bought a bunch of checkmate coloured items and smushed them together. I like the layering of the background the most. Boundless Space for the sky, Winter Avenger for the ground, Blue Konpeito + Happy Capsule for star sprinkles, Sapphire Vault for a blue tint and The Cosmos for the moon.
< Late February: Main item - Daring Dragonslayer, I'd been waiting for a monochrome recolour and finally got one. I especially like the combo of Adelpha and Spiritual Fist, the dress looks great. Obviously some sort of pokemon trainer, I dunno why she'd be wearing so much monochrome... > March: The base started as a remix of an avi from 2013 (September), using the same colour scheme. Then Apprentice Tooth Fairy came out, and the legs looked real nice when posed with arms from Starlit Symphonia. The tricky part was picking the right hairstyle and colour.
< Late March - June: The March Black Boxes opened and I wanted to make an avi with Misty Maiden. I found the hair easiest to work with, so combined that with a mermaid body, purple contrast and gold accents. I found it difficult to find a backdrop, unsure where to find a sandy background. I ended up using snow from Winter Retaliator.> June - July: I wanted to use the Cryptic Wartorn Dancer that I'd bought, combined it with a bunch of black/silver items, and added a bit of red for contrast. I like the combo of the Statice arms and the Vault ring. The shoes were a bit hard to decide, but these ones worked alright.
< July - August: I wanted to make a trainer avi for Lake Kindred, but this turned out a bit more schoolgirl. Anyway, I think it looks cute. Started with the Stained legs, Protagonist tie and Symphonia shirt. The rest was mushed on. Fallen Wish bangs actually look pretty good. I wasn't too sure about them when they were first released.> August: This avi had been sitting in my closest for a long time. The Spirit of the Smackdown event seemed to fit the theme, so I finished it. It isn't a proper kimono, but it fits well together. The Planchette dress and Millennium bodice make a pretty good combo. The tricky part was balancing the hair and ornaments.
< September: Another Kindred avi, this one's obviously Ember the Spirited Fox. I had accumulated a whole bunch of checkmate items, so threw them on and incorporated the companion item. The ears were a bit hard to decide on. The belt is actually shorts from Commanding Post Apocalyptic Princess. Overall I think she looks kinda badass.> October: The gorgeous curls from Purrfect Subordinate were the starting point, followed by sexy monochrome items. Originally there were bows from Cherry Meido: Tsun's Side, but as this avi ended up as a succubus, the horns fit better. I like the combo of King A skirt and Demonique belt. She ended up really curvy, but doesn't show off too much skin.
< November: I loved the shape of Spellcaster Locks, and wanted to snip the back part off. Digging through combo threads reminded me that Terra Carina + Agape removes long hair! So the rest was a smattering of velvetine items that I've been picking up. The Artemis sleeves aren't actually the same shade as the rest, but they're small enough to blend in.> December: Actually started with a hair combo (Hanabi + Bunnilicious) that was switched out partway through the process. The Potion Seller skirt looks really cute, but I had a hard time trying to match a top to it. I really like how the background fits together.
