Chamberlain College of Nursing Appoints Dr. Vivian Lilly as Houston Campus President and Dr. Mary Judith Yoho as Senior Director of Pre-Licensure Undergraduate Program
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chamberlain College of Nursing announced the appointment of Vivian Lilly, PhD, MBA, RN, CNE, as president of its Houston campus effective immediately. Dr. Lilly comes to Chamberlain with more than 35 years of administrative, clinical and academic experience in nursing. In her new role, she will oversee curriculum implementation, delivery of student services, growth and development of regional clinical partnerships and management of day-to-day operations.

Dr. Lilly succeeds Mary Judith Yoho, PhD, MSN, RN, CNE, who served as president of the Houston campus beginning in 2011. Dr. Yoho is joining Chamberlain's national academic affairs team as senior director of the pre-licensure undergraduate program. In this new role, she will oversee the program, integrating important elements of curriculum, instruction and academic success. She is working with Richard Cowling, PhD, RN, APRN-BC, AHN-BC, FAAN, vice president of academic affairs, to further enhance Chamberlain's undergraduate academic program.

Dr. Yoho's extensive healthcare and education expertise will be invaluable as she enhances Chamberlain's undergraduate academic programs to continue to meet the demands of our evolving healthcare system."

Before joining Chamberlain, Dr. Lilly served as academic dean at Galen College of Nursing's San Antonio campus, where she was responsible for providing strategic and collaborative leadership for program directors and faculty. Dr. Lilly's experience in academia also includes serving as founding director of the Associate Degree in Nursing program at Collin County Community College in McKinney, Texas, and as a nursing instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington and at Dallas Baptist University. She has more than 20 years of clinical experience working in women's health, post-anesthesia care, medical/surgical care and telemetry nursing specialties, and is vice president/president-elect of the Texas League for Nursing.

Dr. Lilly earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing and a Master of Science degree in adult health nursing with an education focus from Texas Woman's University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Dallas and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree with dual majors in higher education administration and college teaching from the University of North Texas.

Dr. Yoho brings an impressive 35-year background in nursing education, leadership and advocacy to her new role. She was named one of the Texas Nurses Association's "Outstanding Nurses of 2012" and serves on the association's education committee. In addition, she has been recognized by the North Harris Montgomery Community College District and Texas Woman's University for her published works. Dr. Yoho earned Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Texas Health Science Center and a PhD in nursing science from Texas Woman's University.
