They may always be there. Ideally, with relaxation practice, you can learn to swim in the waves and enjoy them!

The peace people discover in meditation comes from having the ability to remain centered, even if ideas and emotions are raging all around them. The present moment is always peaceful. However , it takes some degree of focusing power to live the present moment. Meditation is merely building up your focus endurance, just as running builds your current lung capacity.

When you have a specific degree of focus stamina developed, you will experience the benefits of deep breathing on and off the meditation cushion. Just like building a muscle, it really starts with the first step.
