Screaming, splattering, crying, dying... All of it was caused by a simple seven year old who wanted revenge on her parents. Her mother, her father, and a stranger all involved in creating this young monster. See, when Maia found out her mom was cheating on her dad with a secretary in London, she was furious. When Maia learned Dave Angelo wasn't her real father, and the secretary was, Maia lost it. She killed her mother, father, and the secretary. She believed doing that would solve her problems.
Alas, Maia forgot her twin, Alexia, knew nothing of the affair. When Alexia arrived home to the scene of three people dead with her sister huddled in a corner covered in blood, she lost most of her innocence. Maia told her sister a man broke into the house and did this, and Alexia believed her sister. They ran away together, agreeing to go to Russia. By acting as if they were part of other families, the twins made it with little to no suspicion directed to them.
By the time they reached Russia, Maia and Alexia were getting strange powers. They could shape shift, Alexia could use charms and chants while Maia's eyes changed color with her moods and what powers she was using. They were able to "Flash" to places, never really had to walk anywhere. As the girls reached thirteen, they were each capable with their own stunts with manifestation, elemental control, various black magic and much more.
Sadly enough, as they grew more powerful they also grew more independent. Slowly, it came to the point they hardly talked. In a last attempt to bring her twin back to reality, Maia took them to a place called Crimson Moon, or Melenia depending where you were. However, that was the wrong decision. Maia noticed Alexia was out of the house more often, when she was home Alexia was drunken or sleeping. Then, Alexia just stopped coming around.
Maia decided to get out and explore more. She met amazing friends and people. Joker and Neithan, the first werewolves she encountered who seemed interested in her, and a cute argument was extended from the two. Then there was Lou. Quite the troublemaker, he only seemed to want Maia for the benefits of women. Yet, Maia refused the charming male. Hannibal, Liam, Simon, Hexebelle, Oce, Revenge, Anubis, Whisper, and Blergz. All people she befriended and refused to leave.
Against what her head said, Maia came to like Joker in a manner she didn't think was proper, so she hid herself. Four months of socializing with these people, all these friends, and her last came back to haunt her. Six months of depression overwhelmed Maia as she was forced to leave, and in her absence most her friends disappeared.
When she returned, so much had changed. She found Revenge right away. With her help, Maia found all her old friends like Joker, Simon, Liam. With them, she made more friends. Rosemarie, Rythian, and Calvin all graced Maia with their presence upon her return. Rythian, Simon, and Joker were all a giant group of nerds. Oh how Maia adores her nerds... Calvin forced his friendship into Maia, but in the end she was happy he did. Rosemarie became the sister she longed for.
Against all odds, Maia met a shy vampire who caught her sights immediately. What started as a friendship, extended with the vampire opening up. Joker and Rosemarie started a thing. Everything was perfect.. Everything was going great until Maia's feelings for Joker, and his for her, resurfaced. They did their best to hide it, but the Vamp got suspicious. He wasn't sure he trusted Maia, and it was obvious he didn't like Joker.
It broke Maia's heart, absolutely destroyed her. She was down for weeks, and was only just coming out of her off-set when the Vamp returned. By then, Maia had made new friends. Sekhmet, Oenomous, and CeeCee. The three were the root of her road to mental peace. She still loved him... Maia just couldn't forget how with one word her face was flushed and her day was made. However, when she tried winning him back, Maia was turned away through the Vamp's fears and concerns.
Maia understood. She'd screwed up. While the Vamp was away, Maia and Joker gave into their feelings. Rosemarie ended up leaving Joker. She came back, but not for long as she felt betrayed by Maia and Joker. Maia never succeeded in earning the Vamp's trust. Never really saw his eyes sparkle, never heard the happy tone in his voice when he was speaking to her, never received his true love again.
All she can say for herself now, is:
"I've screwed up. I'm not perfect. But, I know my mistakes. And I welcome the consequences with open arms. My worst consequence is the pain I'm left with. The worst pain you'll know, is the pain of loving somebody who doesn't love you back... These bumps in the road, they will only make me a better person. I've just gotta make it one more night, one more smile, one more laugh..."
