An 18-year-old Altadena man is accused of being drunk when he crashed a car in Pasadena late Thursday, killing a 17-year-old passenger and injuring three others, police said.

Harvey, an attorney at Taylor & Harvey law firm in Martinsburg, said in a statement Monday that he couldn't address the allegations "in depth" because the matter is pending in court. "I am very, very embarrassed by the situation and promise to make it a positive experience for myself."

Investigators had not confirmed whether the car that crashed was involved in a race.

“According to independent witnesses, two vehicles had been street racing while traveling on Washington when the collision occurred,” Luna said.
