Bill Clinton will meet with Democrats in the U.S. Senate today as they work on their health care bill, the Associate Press is reporting. Anti-abortion groups and Republicans are hoping to drive a wedge into the slim Democratic majority in the Senate, hoping to kill the bill. Clinton is seen by many as a unifier.
Bill Clinton made women's issues and health care important initiatives in his presidency. The former was a success; the latter failed. It will be interesting to see what influence he can have on the developing health care legislation.
