The TEM images of CeO2 and CeO2–MnOx (0.25) samples are presented in Fig. 2. The nanosized and well dispersed particles can be clearly observed for both CeO2 and CeO2–MnOx (0.25) samples. TEM images show that
CJC 1295 NO DAC the gross structure of CeO2–MnOx (0.25) is quite similar to the CeO2. The HRTEM images of CeO2 and CeO2–MnOx (0.25) samples ( Fig. 2b and d) displays the crystal nature of nanoparticles. The lattice spacing is clearly visible and the d-spacing is approximately 3.1 Å, corresponds to the (111) spacing of the fluorite structure for the CeO2 and CeO2–MnOx (0.25). No nanosized MnOx phases were recognized in the CeO2–MnOx (0.25). It can be concluded for low Mn/(Mn + Ce) ratios (
species are highly dispersed on the surface of CeO2. The TEM results are in good agreement with the results obtained by XRD.
