Terry wanted to raise $1 million for cancer research. Three years after losing his leg, now aged 21, Terry began his Marathon of Hope. He left St. John's, Newfoundland on April 12 and within a month increased his goal to $24 million, $1 for every Canadian. Only one TV station filmed Terry's start. He dipped his artificial leg into the Atlantic Ocean and headed west. By May, people were lining the streets as he pushed ever westward, raising cash to fund cancer research.
Sue laid this line on Will after he let her know she brought her current position as Katie Couric's Loser of the Year upon herself. Will and Emma had just stormed into her office after Emma discovered a note that was seemingly suicidal. The whole situation led to Sue sitting in with the glee club for most of the episode.

When Jack Hoffman took the field the crowd went wild with delight and many were seen tearing up not only when he took the field but when he made his touchdown. It really was a BEST MOMENT for the nation.
