What Is Salsa Music?
Everybody considers that music is the universal language. For starters, each country has its own distinct taste for music. Their music is indeed diverse that all possesses its own unique style and characteristics that clearly separate them business genres. Why music interesting to listen to is the fact each genre represents a special and rich culture in which we were holding rooted.
Marc Anthony and Gloria Estefan: so what can these singers have in common? Salsa. Yes, both artists are acknowledged to their signature music which is lucho hernandez . Everyone understands salsa, though not these types of people know the history behind salsa music.
Common sense says probably the most people consider salsa as "extravagant, clave-driven, Afro-Cuban derived songs anchored by piano, horns, and rhythm section sung with a velvety voiced crooner in sharkskin suit.:" No surprise many are driven crazy once salsa is took part in parties and social events. The music adds life and offers no person dull moments. How did salsa come to be something grand?



This style originated from the influence of Cuban son, that is a blend of African and European music influence. In Spanish, the phrase itself, salsa, is the term for sauce, a liquid substance that includes extra flavor for the food. Just like the idea of sauce, salsa music puts more live plus more spice in things making one move their body to the music. Typical instruments used are piano, bongos, conga, timbales, trumpet, trombone, maracas, double bass guitar, flute, saxophone, vibraphone, and violin.
Lots of people may refer salsa to Cuban music. Johnny Pacheco, the creator of Fania All Stars, favored this by commenting that salsa is usually a part and can always be Cuban Music. Now, how did salsa music started making its strategy to the airwaves?
Within the 1960's, salsa slowly developed through Cuban and Puerto Rican immigrants who lived in Ny. Bands spearheaded by John Pacheco, Ray Baretto, and Eddie Palmieri dominated the songs scene in New York
Throughout the '70s, salsa spread in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Columbia, Mexico, Venezuela, and also other Latin countries. These immigrants often referred salsa as soul or swing for that quality of the emotions it gives for the African and American community. It was over these years when the music ended up making its name to the scene. Do your best, salsa became "a symbol of pride and cultural identity" among Latinos. They previously developed a name and always been known as the years continued.
Salsa music diversified from the 80's when 2 types of style emerged: salsa romantica that's about love and romance and salsa erotica that is more "advanced" than romantica. Performers of salsa also experimented on ways to increase their style. It turned out during this period whenever they mixed reggae music with un beso mas to really make the genre a lot more known and stay more popularized.
