Cimetidine enhanced humoral responses
To test whether CIM has the ability to elicit a humoral response to DNA Cabozantinib malate (XL184) and thus is suitable to use as a chemical adjuvant, C57BL/6 mice were vaccinated intramuscularly with 100 μg of pcD-S2, either alone or plus different concentrations of CIM. On day 7 after the third immunization, serum total IgG, IgG2a, and IgG1 antibodies against HBsAg were determined by quantitative ELISA. The highest level of total IgG were elicited by mice vaccinated with pcD-S2 plus 0.5% CIM, compared to the control group immunized with pcD-S2 alone (Fig. 1A). Similarly, inclusion of 0.5% CIM also induced the highest levels of IgG2a and IgG1 (Fig. 1B), and the highest ratio of IgG2a/IgG1 (Fig. 1C), which is indicative of a potent Th1 response.
