Elevated concentrations of Zn and Cu were suggested close to Tasmania—off the southeast and west coast, respectively. These two metals are known to have been grossly affected by human activities in these locations, even in a global perspective (Rauch, 2010). These observations demand a more intensive study of Zn and Cu in Tasmanian coastal waters.
