Am interested in what others do to get their writing juices flowing. Is it the environment, or do you just block out the environment and let your mind wander?
I use a spare bedroom as my office. I have a desk, computer, file cabinets, book case, and a table. I use the closet, with an open book shelf to hide my junk. It looks like an office and I keep it rather clean and neat.
I need this getaway to hide from the trappings of my other rooms and concentrate. I like to be able to close the door to the outside world and write. It works for me and I have a number of books published.
What do you use for an office? How is it outfitted? Does it look like an office. Do you use another room, with part of it set aside for your work surface? What makes you productive?
