My story
Since I am not the most interesting person alive. I'm going to use my journal to post the book I'm writing.
Prologue

A deep rumble echoed through a cavern far beneath the mountains of Melune. A violent earthquake rocked the mountainside, sending boulders crashing down the base of the cliff, to sink into the ocean. The ground shook and a fissure split the side of the mountain. Dark black mist poured out of the newly made gap, covering the area. Even the brilliant rays of the sun, sitting high in the sky, could not penetrate the gloom created by this dense fog. The thick cloud gathered over a path leading into the cavern, and floated there, as if it were waiting for something.
In the stark quiet of the mountain, footsteps were heard reverberating across the cliff. A man walked along the path, his scraggly, dirty hair hanging limply around his shoulders. A massive warsword were strapped across his back, hanging to the large man s knees. His eyes, the same dirt color as his hair, were narrowed with intensity. Glancing around, he noticed the black mist hovering a few feet away. He immediately dropped to his knees. “My lord, you summoned me?” His low, growling voice had a very respectful tone.
A deep, menacing voice, coming from nowhere, echoed off the mountainside, and sounded over the cliff. “Indeed, I did, and you are late.” A long strand of the billowy substance streaked out and wrapped around the massive man's throat. “I have warned you, not to keep me waiting, Megrigel. Consider this, your final warning.” The mist appeared to tighten its grasp for several moments, then released completely, dropping Megrigel to the ground.
Gasping and wheezing, the seven foot tall man staggered back to his knees. “Forgive me, I will not allow it to happen again ...“ Trailing off into a small bout of coughing, he awaited his master s orders.
“See that it does not. Now, to more important matters. You are in need of assistance. You simply are not executing my desires quickly enough. I am greatly displeased. You have until the next new phase of Destrelia to find some more capable help. I expect you to report back me at midnight. Do not disappoint me again, Megrigel.” The mist slowly started to fade away.
Rising to his feet, a little shakily, Megrigel bowed deeply. “Yes, Master Zygarvellus. I will not fail you again.” Bowing once more, He turned and walked back down the cliff path.
One final threat echoed clearly in Megrigel s ears. “Another mistake would cost you, your life. I suggest that you keep that in mind.”
