Noah walked alone that dark night. He decided to go to a park in his neighborhood to have some time to himself. Just as he entered the park, he knew that something was wrong. There, towards the center of the park, sat a glowing creature that was obviously female. He didn't understand what she was at first, and tried to talk to her gently. Then, she began trying to communicate in a series of strange noises. Noah thought that the language sounded slightly hostile, and soon found himself panicked nearly out of his senses. The alien stood to be taller than him and he felt an extreme insecurity.
To the alien, Noah looked quite scary and hostile. He had his arms over his head and was shakily yelling things that she didn't understand. Pretty soon, he came too close for comfort. This encouraged her to fire a few blasts of energy from her body. After about five, Noah was on the ground, stunned, and the alien could make a quick get-away. She ran at an incredible speed and vanished from sight. A few minutes later, Noah stood and left the park. He decided not to tell anyone of his encounter with the evolved species.
The next day, Noah noticed something strange begin to happen. He could see things before they happened. He woke up that morning and suddenly knew random things that would happen; for instance, he knew what the news was before he even turned on the television. He enjoyed his new insight, but found it weird that it had only just appeared. He went to bed that night, knowing what the morning would bring.
Morning came, and, as predicted, he looked in the mirror and couldn’t see his reflection. His sudden new powers were starting to scare him; what would happen if he were invisible forever?
Next came endurance and incredible strength. He could punch through a wall and not feel anything. The next day, he found that he had a newfound immunity to diseases and illnesses. He was no longer scared of his abilities, and he used them to his advantage.
His powers didn’t stop there, though. The very next day, he found that he could easily manipulate others and make them do what he wanted with little of his own effort. Noah could make them do all sorts of things, with the right amount of imagination and skill.
Last, but not least, he awoke one day and accidently flew through the roof of his house. Before he knew how to control the flight, he had whizzed about the entire town and back. Once he got his flight under control, he went back home and realized the damage that he had done to his house.
Along with the newfound powers, he also noticed changes in his physical appearance. He was slightly glowing the same color as the alien he met, and his voice was sheerer. He found it easier to speak like the alien than in English.
After a while, he was perceived as perfection by several others. He became famous for random kind deeds and such. Pretty soon, he was able to unleash bursts of the same energy as the alien. There was no longer any doubt that this had been caused by her, even if by complete accident.
Noah soon found that his new powers made him more of a threat than a hero. People were soon terrified of him, and he felt like he endangered people everywhere he went. The looks that people gave him were worse than anything else. Scowls and glares met him everywhere he went.
He soon moved into the depths of a forest to stay clear of the people that he could no-doubt hurt incredibly bad. His new life of isolation didn’t feel the best, but he soon learned to live with it, as he had learned to live with his powers.
After a short time of living in complete isolation from the outside world, he realized that emotions were manifesting within him. This manifestation soon took form. A gray form of himself appeared out of this emotion. He saw memories of his girlfriend, Melissa, and he and they hurt him badly. Noah didn't quite understand these playbacks, but the pain that they brought to him was real.
The emotion tried desperately to kill him with his own pain. It made it hard for him to move from his place and began to starve and dehydrate him. The emotion wanted, more than anything, to have power over the terran’s actions. It tried to engulf him in his pain and cause him to eventually die of his own emotion. After a long time of trying, the emotion grew tired, but still tried weekly to starve him. Noah fought past the emotion while it was weak. This first emotion happened to be doubt, and, soon, another appeared.
Despair was the next emotion. It tried to choke him every night by wrapping things around his neck. It showed him painful memories of Michelle, another of his previous girlfriends. This emotion almost nearly succeeded in drowning him in his pain, but still he fought it with his best effort. He spluttered as he tried to fight off the clinging materials and pain. Once he fought past it, he felt as if a load had been lifted.
Pretty soon, though, he felt as if the emotional load were heavier than ever. The impersonation of anger clawed at him and showed him memories of Mikayla. Blood seeped through claw marks that were all too real and he yelled and moaned in pain and frustration. Noah tried desperately to calm himself and make the emotion go away, but found it increasingly difficult. In a pool of his own blood, he squirmed in pain and agony, but tried to fight, none the less.
By the time the next emotion made an appearance, he had lost a lot of blood from his wounds. Cruelty brought angry voices and memories of Lena. The moaning and shrieking voices threatened to drive Noah to the brink of insanity. He couldn't sleep anymore and the voices and memories never ceased to drive pain into his very soul. He soon found himself reduced to a nearly mindless zombie. Eventually, once he was sure he would die, he overpowered cruelty. He sighed in relief as the voices and noises vanished and he regained sanity.
Hatred attacked him next; bringing with it everything that Noah hated about the world, as well as memories of Makenna. He yelled at nothing as things that he despised danced around him and taunted him. The emotion eventually tried to crush him beneath his loathed items, as they were all too real to him. Being pressed beneath the foul items, he yelled in rage. With a ton of pain, he overcame this emotion as well.
The impersonation of fear attacked him with a ferocity that he had not yet encountered. It sent upon him shadowy creatures with claws, teeth, and terrible magical powers and memories of Leizelle. The creatures tried to murder him in the dark shield of night. Fear nearly overpowered Noah as the creatures lurked in the shadows and cackled before they attacked him with all imaginable tactics of pain. The creatures, of all shapes and sizes, seemed to be made out of dark shadows themselves, and proved to be difficult adversaries. With a newfound difficulty, he overcame this emotion as well.
All too soon, came the last emotion, pride. It finished off the stream of attacking emotions with memories of Sena. It tied to drown Noah in both water and his own pride. The pain that this emotion caused was surprisingly high for such a warm feeling. Gurgling in the flood of water, he tried desperately to stay above the tide. He wallowed for days, nearly dying all the time, before he overcame this emotion as well.
After overcoming every emotion, he felt as if he was lighter than before. Noah was greatly enlightened, but found that he could not fit in with human society. Alas, they were still diseased with the emotions that he overcame, and were very different than him. He decided to leave Earth for the deepest realms of outer space.
On his adventures in outer space, he encountered many strange beings and situations. He helped creatures throughout the universe. By the time he visited Earth, he was well-known even in the outer galaxies. While on his adventures, he had found a few new allies and friends that helped him fight crime.
He and a few of his allies helped to improve the lives of humanity. After a while on Earth, they thought that they had, ultimately, aided in making the future better for humans. Every now and then, of course, they would check on Earth to make sure that everything was working out well before leaving for space again.
Several years later, they found that humanity had, actually changed their ways quite more than they had ever expected. Earth was nice and green for the most part. The humans had stopped most of their bad habits and had given up a lot of the more nasty traditions. This new change in society made Noah extremely proud of the human race. It almost seemed as if he would have been accepted into this society, but he knew that it was not meant to be, for he still had things to do, and still yet more places to see.
