Remember the day we listened to Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley? We were laying together in the dark as it played from your computer screen. The dull glow illuminated the scene just enough. I could see your face. The way your lips moved with the expression of a song. Your eyes were closed lightly as you sang along. It was beautiful. My hand resting on the crook of your neck could feel the vibrations in your throat. The warmth emanating from your body was sweet relief from the cold emanating from within mine.
Every time this song comes on Pandora I think of this moment. I think of the simplicity of the happiness that came with it. The feeling of being held in your arms and feeling loved. Ironically Pandora has only played this song on the days I've cried over you. Like the Universe does this on purpose to remind me that love and happiness are fleeting. They aren't things that come easily or often but that is what makes them so much sweeter.
