Thursday was pretty good. The field trip was a little stressful, but it went well over all! I kept an eye on my girl and she didn't get upset about anything! Some other kid in our group got upset though. Oops! I told the kids they could split up for half an hour in this little area where you could buy things made by different cultures. So we split up, it's all good. I asked some kids if they'd seen 2 girls from my group, just as conversation because I knew they were friends. They said no and I said, "That's fine. They can do their own thing. I'll find them later," because we had a meet up point. But apparently they did not understand that and told the girls I was looking for them. The one girl went about business as usual, but the other got stressed out and spent the whole time looking for me rather than looking at stuff, which was the part she was looking forward too, so she was very upset with me, crying and yelling and throwing a tantrum, even though it was simply a miscommunication. But, hell, I told my girl about it (because her friend was visibly upset and she wanted to know what was wrong). I told her what happened and even my girl said, "She could have looked for stuff and looked for you." And guys, that's huge, because my girl is the most sympathetic person who was so much more likely to take her friend's side, so I was proud of that. And, besides that, it was really fun. Bus ride went well, talked to my coworkers. Watched dances and looked at stuff from different cultures, some I'd never heard of. Even ate culturally diverse food. It was great.
Then Connor came over. We got to spend a lot of time together. He got there about 4pm and he actually spent the night! That was pretty awesome. We watched shows, played video games, I even got him to drink with me I really enjoyed myself.
Next day, started for Florida! We went through Iowa (boring), Missouri (not bad), and started through Tennessee , which was beautiful! But, God, road trips when you have a fixed destination are not fun! The road trip I always wanted let you stop and check things out, but we only got to stop for food and bathroom breaks. I had an activity book I played with and I started making a bowl out of magazines (an art project I picked up from school). We even played the ABC game, where we tried to see who could find each letter of the alphabet, in order, on different signs first. I rode with Eric, Ashley, and Brittany, so it was fun and no one was crank the whole way! But, anyway, we spent the night at a hotel in Tennessee. The next day, we went through Tennessee, Georgia, and finally got into Florida! We didn't get to our place until 9:30pm, but we made it! Kayla tried to cause some drama because she was unhappy with her room, but we didn't let it get us down and we made her deal with it. Hung out with everyone until midnight and then sleep!
Today was a lazy day. We just stayed in our little resort house. Well, we also went shopping so we had food for the rest of the week when we don't go out. So we shopped, went swimming in the pool behind our house, my brother barbequed, and we simply hung out and enjoyed eachother's company. I enjoyed it.
Tomorrow is when the running around begins! I'll tell you about it then.
