Who was your character raised by? His mother, Pat Andrews. She was pureblood but born a squib. Her pureblood fanatical father abused her for years before she ran away. She had found out that her family had a tiny muggle branch living in London. She wrote them and asked for asylum. They changed her name and legally adopted her by muggle law. She finished high school with decent marks and enrolled in Cheltenham Art College where she studied literature, poetry, art history, and music.

In her final year in college she met Brian Jones. He was a beautiful welsh boy that could play any instrument he touched. She was smitten at once and let her guard down. He was a vagabond rocker in the 60's. She was surprised he stuck around at all after she told him she was pregnant. He moved into her little apartment and even built Julian's crib. He drifted away with little pomp or circumstance when Julian was 6 months old.

Patricia had been told her whole life that she was a useless waist of magical blood and a failure to her family so when she found out she was pregnant she made a solemn vow that no matter what it took she and her unborn baby would survive and thrive. She finished college while waiting tables and moved to London where she had little success as an artist until she started illustrating children's books. Thats what pays their bills but she's also recently started writing her own novel. A sci-fi thriller that Julian helps her with.

Who was your character raised with? Julian's only ever had one friend. A muggle boy that lived in the same slum neighborhood. When they were small Daniel always picked on Julian for being a 'mama's boy' until one day he saw him do magic. At first he was eager to be friends for all the wrong reasons and tried to manipulate Julian. Over time however, the two boys forged an unbreakable friendship through years of shared hardship.

Who were your character's childhood heroes? His mother. She taught him kindness, compassion, tenderness, love, hope, faith, trust, acceptance, to be goal oriented, driven, focused, and how to play the guitar. Also the few stories she's told him of her upbringing have given him all he needs to know to pick sides in this ridiculous war. Also Julian “Cannonball” Adderley the sax player and his namesake.

Did your character have a favorite toy as a child? Probably his skateboard. His mom bought it for him with tip money because he'd begged her all year. Daniel had a skateboard so he had to have one too. The boys spent most of their time skating around london slum?

What sort of employment has your character held in the past? Julian always goes home for holidays and picks up part-time work. He's bagged groceries, worked in delis, waited and bussed tables, he baked donuts at 2am everyday last summer.

What sort of education did your character have in the past? He was in a london public school? until he received his letter from hogwarts. His mother nearly had a heart attack. She didnt think a squib and a muggle could produce a wizard... Mostly O's in Astronomy and History of Magic as they are concrete facts to be memorized. O's and E's in Charms because even though he loves this class he tends to flourish his wand a bit too much. Defense against the dark arts is his 'swish' class. He seems to thrive here and can reel in his wand technique. Grace under pressure. Also the dark creatures fascinate him. He usually gets A's and some E's in Transfiguration...that pesky wand flourish crap again. He is improving though. Mcgonagal says so. He usually scrapes by with an A or an E in Herbology. Its not that he doesn't get it he just hates to get dirty. As a perfectionist Julian is quite at home in the potions dungeon. He may not always get O's but an E is pretty rare. Especially the further he gets on through school. He received straight D's in flying however...its just not gonna happen.
As far as electives he tried Care of magical creatures in his 3rd year but found it to be similar to herbology...in that they're both kind of gross. He had hoped that it would be more learning and less caring. The only electives he's kept are Arithmancy and Ancient Studies.

What childhood hobbies did your character have? Skateboarding and the guitar.

What natural talents does your character have? He has a lovely singing voice.

Did your character suffer any childhood injuries or illness? Nothing special. Lots of close calls though.

Has your character ever fallen in love? How did it work out? Never happened. He's focused on school and helping his mom.

Has your character ever been banned from any place or organization? No.

What did your character think they would be/ want to be when they grew up? When he was small he really wanted to be a rock star but these days he keeps his music mostly to himself. its become a private sort of peace over the years. At the moment he's considering a job at St. Mungo's.
