So… went skiing yesterday. Thought it would be super soupy, but it turned out to be pretty good. Light wasn't that flat and the snow up top was amaze. It was so light and the sound was so unbelievably soft, it was like a lullaby. Doing legs & back definitely helps and I definitely notice a difference from previous years.
We ended up stuck on Blackcomb due to winds closing down the gondola, so we ended up having to ski out. Powder to about a hundred metres of this horrible sticky stuff to corn and considering that ski out can be a monster, it was pretty good.
I've decided that next year I'm going to free heel it. My thighs are pretty strong and I'm confident that if I continue with my workout program + biking, I'll be in good enough shape to pull it off. Plus my current set up is pretty old, so it'll be nice to try new equipment (maybe get some twin tips!). whee
