Lost Reflections
Rambling about stuff that may or may not interest you... Fangirling about musicians that may or may not interest you... There's a Sci-Fi story buried in here somewhere... Look for it if you want...
Randy Rhoads
Randy Rhoads was one of the greatest guitar players ever. His playing was totally before his time. Just amazing.

The Blizzard of Ozz band. Ozzy Osbourne, Lee Kerslake, Bob Daisley, Randy Rhoads.

Quiet Riot in the late 70s. The second incarnation of the band. Kelly Garni had just left and Rudy Sarzo replaced him on bass. From left to right - Randy Rhoads, Kevin DuBrow, Drew Forsyth, Rudy Sarzo. I love this photo. They're working out strategies, Kevin and Drew. Rudy's just like, "hm...Ya think it's gonna work?" Randy - "I'm not so sure"

Randy winning Guitar Player magazine's Best New Talent Award in 1981. Ozzy and Sharon are on either side of him.

Ozzy and the gang at Disney at the end of 1981. Wouldn't it have been cool to go hang out with the four of them at Disney? It would've been awesome!

Kevin and Randy sitting at a piano. There's some other people, but I cannot for the life of me figure out who they are. One might be Kelly or Drew. Not sure.

Not only was he talented, he was gorgeous. Look at him. He's so cute!

The original Quiet Riot. Kelly Garni next to Randy. They formed Quiet Riot when Randy was 16. Kelly was a year younger.

Tommy Aldrige on drums. Randy kept on looking over to the side and would turn back, laughing. I'm curious what Rudy or Ozzy were doing to make him laugh.

Drew, why go the wrong way, huh?

More of the Blizzard Band.

Randy's birthday, 1981 I believe. So if it was, then this was his last.

My favorite photo of Ozzy and Randy. Randy was so humbled to have won the award.

Randy and Kevin. (R.I.P to them both) Quiet Riot had a song called "Thunderbird", released in 1983. Originally it was supposed to be recorded when Randy was still in the band, but it didn't happen. It got recorded and released in '83. Kevin added a line to the end of the song in Randy's honor. "Maybe some day we'll meet again." Kevin passed away in 2007.

Love Randy's big smile!

With his famous polka-dot guitar.

Ozzy's checking out the award, too.

Randy kicking Kevin's a** at Backgammon. I wonder if they're playing that right now and Randy is probably still kicking his a**. The look on Randy's face is great - "No matter what you roll, I've still got you."

The Diary of a Madman Tour lineup. Rudy, Randy, Ozzy, Tommy.

Randy, the Angel. It must sound beautiful up in Heaven.

"Revelation" just popped up on my MP3 player. Randy's playing is so amazing on this song. Yes, Randy, we all miss you deeply.

I love how long his hair is here.

I wonder who told a joke. Whatever it was, Ozzy found it extremely funny.

I love the look on his face! He can't be serious all the time. Ozzy was rubbing off on him.

A god of the Gibson right there.

I see Ozzy, Randy, Sharon, Rudy, and Tommy. The rest must tour personnel.

A picture from Randy's last photo shoot. I love how bright his eyes look.

Ozzy looks disbelieving of whatever Randy and Bob are talking about.

Ozzy messing with Randy. Sharon says, "Now give him a kiss, Ozzy." She gives Randy one instead.
