Terrifically important question:
WHAT KINDS OF TEA ARE COMMON IN CANADA?
I'm from USA New England, so I've got a somewhat watered down London style of tea-drinking.
Apparently the entirety of the American South is allergic to proper tea entirely. I'm sure their preparation is just as unorthodox and terrifying. (....LIPTON, THOUGH? SERIOUSLY?? THAT'S THE MOST HORRID AWFUL WATERED DOWN CRAP UGGGGHHHHHH LIPTON IS LIKE AGAINST MY RELIGION
/DISOWNS THE CAFE BOSSES
Back when I almost worked in a teashop and went through my self-educational tea blitz, I learnt about Russian and Polish and British and Indian and Chinese and Japanese traditions of teamaking and consuming-
but nothing about North America.
That seems to be a grievous oversight on my part. Somehow though, I don't regret it. Eurgh.
Like I love sweet tea too, but Zi and Miss Black! What the hell! That'S NOT EVEN TEA GODDAMMIT HDU-
