So I recently saw a video by The Amazing Atheist on Youtube where a guest speaker was talking about a young 15 year old Highschool student who wanted to start an Atheist club. She was denied being allowed to create this club because of their belief in Christianity, and they didn't want to have a secular club in their school. She reached out and got major help from the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union), and after the ACLU sent a letter to the school strongly suggesting the allowance of the creation of this club, the pressure caused the school to cave in and allow it.

Now then.... a relatively short amount of time comes to pass. As the title of the article suggests, the student who wanted to create this club is forced to back off because of DEATH THREATS... yes, DEATH THREATS!!!!!

I grew up as a Christian and converted to Atheism several years ago. While growing up, I was taught that Christianity was something holy where you worship god and love others as you would love God. I took this firmly to heart and grew up thinking Christianity was morally a good choice. I never in particular believed in God, but I liked the ten commandments and the ideas of "treating others as you would like to be treated yourself".

As I'm growing up, I realize how false this is. Nowadays, I find Christianity something terrible. Okay, Christians believe in a God and an afterlife, I don't give any f*cks over what someone believes. But when those beliefs involve the persecution of a 15 year old girl who is old enough to make the decision that Christianity just doesn't cut it, and wants to create a club where she could fit in, its just unbelievable. This religion I grew up believing in as a religion of peace and love is nothing but a cult of a**holes who have their heads so far up their rectum that they have this need to give DEATH THREATS to a 15 YEAR OLD girl for being Atheist and wanting to start an Atheist club.

EVEN IF the young girl started the club as an anti-Christian faction, that wouldn't justify death threats. BUT THAT'S NOT EVEN what she wanted to start. She wanted a place she could belong to in a school full of Christian clubs and groups. She even had a dozen other students who wanted to join and faculty that were willing to sponsor the club...

Why has Christianity evolved into this giant ball of hate against anything and everyone different? Has it just always been like this and not just spontaneously evolved into this ball of hate? These might be the subject for another rant.
