Alone I wait,
on this cool winters night.
I sit here waiting,
waiting to see you again.

The wind blows silently,
the snow falls gently.
The ground covered in a blanket of white,
undisturbed by the cat that circles the gate.

The sun has finally gone down,
the world plunges into the dark of night.
But you still haven't come,
why is this?

Did something happen,
or have you just forgotten?
I ask myself this,
as I sit here on my headstone.

I look around once more,
seeing nothing but darkness.
The others will be out soon,
the other lost souls I have met in this gave yard.

"What is he worth to you?"
They keep asking me.
I tell them that you mean the world to me,
that you will help me find peace and free me from them.

"He wont help you, and he will never get rid of us. Just give up hope."
I try to ignore their insults towards you.
But their words cut deep,
deeper than any knife every could.

"He will come, I know he will."
I tell them this and think it as well.
But my doubts grow stronger as the night goes on,
because you haven't come yet.

Have you forgotten,
that promise you made to me so long ago?
You said you'd come to me every night,
but that promise hasn't been kept.

I sit her in the snow waiting,
waiting for you to come to me.
The others have arrived now,
they're coming closer.

I don't want them to,
but I can not stop them.
They say my time has come,
I must now go with them.

I waited for you,
but you never came.
Now the lost soles claim me,
for I can never find peace now.

Have you forgotten,
everything that we had once shared?
Have you forgotten,
the day I died in your place?

I loved you,
more than life itself.
But do you love me that much?
To give your life for me?

Have you forgotten,
everything that I've done for you?
Everything I've given up for you?
Have you forgotten me?
