Personal note: So, my birthday is coming up and this year, I'm going to celebrate it by going to the Smithsonian. I'll be gone the 21st-24th. I'll attempt to gather a variety of pictures but I am a terrible photographer.
I have made the President's List; so I must attend a ceremony the 18th. I've become quiet the poster child for ambition and self-improvement and I have become the talk for Mentor trainees. It's a shame that my story is as rare as it is.
I have lunch lined up with the first Austrian Cosmonaut, who spent 7 days in orbit on MIR.(As to date, I think, little over 500 people have been to space) I'll be snapping a picture with him since it is a personal validation.
The college wants me to do a commercial, promoting opportunities. I feel that's a bit short-sided. Although college can give you tools, what you pick and how you apply yourself is equally important.
After my lunch, I have a TechTalk, WLOS, and potential CBS interview as well as a few other offers that are pending.
Remember, don't self yourself short. Understand who you are, stop making excuses and don't lie to yourself about why you maybe didn't succeed the first time.
