She gazed up at the night sky, she loved looking at the moon. Tonight it was a crescent moon. To her that was the most beautiful stage of the moon, especially when there wasn't a single cloud to block her view. Looking at the moon calmed her. It gave her peace no matter how thirsty she was. "I need to find shelter." she said to herself her gaze fixed on the moon. I only have a couple of hours before the sun rises and I would be dust. I need to rest for now tommow I'll be able to hunt again. Those hunters would have gave up and be on their way home. She smiled at that thought. At full speed she searched the woods for a cave she could hide in til dusk.
Roaming aimlessly for about half an hour she ran across a small cabin with no lights. She knocked once. No answer. She knocked again. Still silence. Iris grabbed the door handle. Surprisingly it was unlocked. Before she even walked in it hit her. A horrid smell of decaying skin filled her nostrils. If she was able to she would puke. Immediately she searched the cabin for the body the smell was coming from. In the bedroom she found a little old lady laying dead on the bed on the far left corner of the room near the window. She looked like she only been dead for a couple of days. The smell of the dead woman's cold blood called to her. Usually she wasn't driven to cold blood but she needed something to hold her over. At least for now. She grabbed the woman's wist and bit down into the vein. She took what she needed without completely draining the body. She wiped her mouth and looked outside. There wasn't enough time for her to find shelter. She looked around the room and noticed a small closet. "Guess that would have to do." she said unhappily. She sighed and rested inside of the cramped closet.
"I've been in love but its painful, pointless and overrated"
