The game is set in post-World War II West Germany. The developers have taken a lot of historical freedoms, as the exact year is never mentioned. One of the storylines involves a dramatic motorcycle race to the Berlin Wall and back, so the game must be set sometime after 1961. The player takes the role of either Kia WelBehenna or Louise Hardwich, one of the two members of a secret agency run by Louise Hardwich. The two are assigned to specific targets, which range from members of the KGB to aspiring soccer players. The requests usually include seducing the said targets.
Welcome, one and all, to our little Agency. I'm sure that at one time or another, you've felt frustrated by the actions of a certain troublesome individual, who always seems to make your life more difficult. You know the feeling -- through no fault of your own, your every step is hindered by the actions of someone who's been born onto this Earth just to trip you up?
That's where our Agency comes in. With just one word from you, our special volunteer staff will happily lay a complex trap for the individual who causes you so much frustration, and exact sweet revenge on the troublemaker for you, turning their life into exactly the kind of living hell you want. We'll make them surrender totally to our will, force them into absolute obedience while we punish them for the crime of tormenting you. Of course, we use the word "volunteer" loosely. Payment is always required for our services, but don't worry -- we'll never ask you for money.

Togainu no Chi
a.k.a Blood of the Reprimanded Dog
After being devastated in the third World War (known as The Third Division), Japan was divided in two. Several years after the end of the war, a crime organization called Vischio has taken control of the destroyed city of Toshima (formerly Tokyo, Japan's capital city), where they are holding a battle game known as Igra (romanized as Igura in the Tokyopop manga translation).
Igra is a battle game held in Toshima that may result in the murder of participants. To participate, one must meet with Arbitro and tell him their reason for their decision. Upon meeting with Arbitro, participants are given five dog tags, each engraved like a card in a standard deck of playing cards. One tag must hang from the participant's neck as proof of participation. Participants must then put their lives on the line to collect others' tags, with the goal being to collect a Royal Flush. If a participant collects a Royal Flush set of tags, they earn the right to challenge "Il Re" in battle. Battles end when one party either dies or lets their back touch the ground. The winner takes the loser's tags and is free to do as they please to the loser after that, often resulting in the loser's death.
The game's main character, a young man named Akira, is falsely accused of a crime. Once arrested, a mysterious woman appears before him, offering him freedom if he agrees to participate in Igra and defeat Igra's strongest man: the king, or Il Re. The story follows Akira's life in the harsh, lawless Toshima as he fights both to survive and to unravel the mysteries developing around him.
Lamento ~Beyond The Void~
The game takes place in a fictional world inhabited by Ribika (who look like humans but have cat ears and tails). Their world has fallen into dark times -- a mysterious void has made some places (and even animals) impossible to touch, causing major food shortages. A strange and deadly disease that has killed off a large percentage of the female Ribika population is also spreading.
The hero, Konoe, exists in this miserable world, living alone in the starving village of Karou who have turned to cannibalism. The story begins with Konoe in Karou, where he suddenly begins to see horrible dreams and strange marks appear on his body. This is believed to be a curse so Konoe heads off to Ransen (the big city) in order to heal his body...
Yoji is a little bit nervous because he goes to school for the first time in several months. From that day, his surroundings gradually change.... Tetsuo unexpectedly approaches Yoji. Yoji asks Tetsuo why, but he never answers.... Yoji gets scared of Tetsuo. Zenya also approaches Yoji at the same time. One day, Zenya suddenly whispers Yoji, "It's all your fault...." Strange pain.... Vivid nightmare.... Are they just illusions? What are Tetsuo and Zenya's purpose?
In Midorijima, a plentiful island to the southwest of the Japanese islands, mankind and nature once coexisted.
However, due to being purchased by "Tōe Company," a powerful corporation in Japan, one-third of the island has been changed into an extravagant amusement facility called "Platinum Jail". Equipped with the latest cutting-edge technology, Platinum Jail has gathered attention. On the other side, the islanders who became victims of forceful development are forced into the "Former Residents' District", and have no choice but to carry out their lives in a place that is by no means prosperous.
The protagonist Aoba Seragaki spends his days working part-time at a junk shop named "Heibon," inside the Former Residents District, living with his grandmother Tae.
Among the youth of the Former Residents District, a certain game has become popular. In "Ribstiez," teams are created and days of human-bullet turf wars unfold. On the other hand, "Rhyme" is an electronic brain online game using a virtual world as its setting. Aoba shows no interest in either game, thinking that it would be nice to just live peacefully with his grandmother. But naturally, a disaster is bound to shake up those peaceful days.
