In this prompt, you are to circle the words (only one from each line) that most appeals to you:
1. Alabama Banister Carousel Diesel Exorcist
2. Flatulence Garage Harried Insensitive Jambalaya
3. Keepsake Lamb Massage Nonsense Oriole
You must use these three words in a story. And your story should start with: Sometimes I feel just like a gerbil, running around and around on his wheel!
Sometimes I feel just like a gerbil, running around and around on his wheel! You would think that by now I would be use to this but I guess I never will. That should be a good thing, right, I mean it shows that I'm still human. Even after spending years working in this kind of business, a lot of people tend to give in and become the monsters they hunt. It's never easy and sometimes people don't know what they're getting themselves into until it's too late for them to back out.
To put it simply I'm a hunter. I could say I'm an exorcist, but I don't because it implies that I only deal with demons. I don't, I also have to protect people against other kinds of monsters as well. Lately, I've become a very harried hunter because I can never get a break. It's always one mission after another, though that may have to do with the fact that the end of the world is in a couple of months.
Sometimes I wonder if I should just give up, but then I look the keepsakes on my desk. Each one represents the people I was able to save and they remind me that even though I can't save everyone, or stop the end of the world for that matter... I can try. I rather do something about it then let it just take me. I will save as many as I can and I'm not going down without a fight.
