When the summit was dismissed, I stood and started to pack my things to get home with Germany and Japan and Italy. But I then saw the man who I thought was looking at me in a rather odd way. He was already heading toward the door.
Quickly, I stopped packing and made my way to him. I grabbed his shoulder as he was about to walk out the door. "E-Excuse me?" I asked, looking slightly confused as to why my voice cracked in a way.
I groaned to myself, rubbing the bump on my head. Damn frog...if he hadn't started that fight, I have it. I was heading out when I felt someone's touch on my shoulder. I heard a girl's voice, a slight break in it. I turned and looked down to see Monte Carlo. "Uh... Yes? You're Monte Carlo, right? I'm England." I held out my for a shake.
She only smiled and tilted her head to the side. A soft smile...one I hadn't seen on anyone's face for a long while...It was... beautiful and refreshing...
"Oh, I know who you are, Mr. England. Germany would tell me stories of how you would capture my big brothers, Italy and Romano, all the time when World War two was around."
My eyes widened slightly at her explanation. She was still smiling, like she wasn't upset over the matter at all.
"W-Well, you see..." I trailed off, trying to come up with a reason.
"Oh, Mr. England! You don't have to explain anything to me. I was only telling you that I knew you. And that if you ever try taking me, I won't be as easy as my brothers." She clarified.
I couldn't help but chuckle off my nervousness.
"Of course." I shot her a playful smile. She only looked away from me, a timid smile on her lips and...Blush?
"Are you okay? I meant to ask..." She asked, looking back up at me.
"Huh? Why would you ask?" I looked down at her, slightly confused.
"Well, I saw you fighting France in the beginning of the summit." Monte Carlo tilted her head to the side.
"Oh yeah. I have this bump on my head..."
"Come on." She took my hand in her and led me down the hall. Before I could question her, she stopped in front of a soda machine and inserted 75 cents.
"Monte Carlo, this really isn't necessary." I tried to turn the offer down, but the sound of the full aluminum can falling into the space of the machine to grab it.
She bent over and took it in her hand before turning back to me.
"Here. This is cold. Keep it on your bump to help it." She told me, offering the can to me. I took it slowly and put it over the injury, flinching slightly at the feel at first.
"You sure know your way around medical stuff, don't you?" I asked, chuckling softly.
"Well...yeah. When I was younger, I couldn't really fight. So, I was a supporter. You know, like a nurse. That was the only real way I could help." She explained, smiling up at me.
"I see. You know, being a nurse takes a lot of caring and compassion toward those you help. I'm sure you make a lovely support." I couldn't help but smile back down at her.
"I don't know... I just like to help is all. I care a lot about my big brothers and Germany and Japan. I also learn to care for strangers as well." The Italian looked away from me.
"Does that mean you care for me, Monte Carlo?" I asked, smile widening slightly.
"Well, Mr. England...I supp-"
"Monte Carro?" I turned to the end of the hall to see Japan there, coming toward the female.
"There you are. Ready to go?" He asked. "Mr. Engrand, are you still coming over tomorrow to discuss our alliance?" Japan asked, looking toward me.
"Yes, I almost forgot. Thank you for reminding me, Japan." I thanked the older nation, still thinking about the Italian before us.
"It is no probrem, Mr. England. I wirr see you tomorrow then? Good bye, Mr. England." Japan parted with me.
"Good bye Mr. England." Monte Carlo smiled, waving away as she followed Japan out.
Hm...For the sister of the Italian brothers, she seemed very friendly and strong...
