City Hunter [K-drama]
You know you've watched too many K-dramas when you start recognizing K-dramas within K-dramas. There was a scene of Nana watching TV while falling asleep on the couch. The scene was only shown for a few seconds, and only one line was said, but I still recognized it as a scene from Prosecutor Princess. XD They must both have been aired on SBS.

Speaking of Prosecutor Princess, two of the actors in City Hunter were also in Prosecutor Princess: the guy who played Chaen Jae Man (played Hye Ri's father in PP) and the guy who played Shik Joong (he was the prosecution office director in PP iirc). I noticed that as well!

Well, originally I only watched City Hunter because I wanted to see more of Lee Min-ho's sexiness after watching Personal Taste. I was pleasantly surprised to find I really enjoyed the plot after expecting it to be somewhat trite (for what it's worth later I found out it was based off a WSJ manga of the same title by Tsubasa Hojo from the late 80's/early 90's - not really surprising since the characters really gave me that feeling). The writing team did a good job keeping the audience one step ahead of the characters, so I was basically always left anticipating what would happen once everything fell into place for the characters. Unfortunately after the extension things slowed down too much (maybe because they were deciding whether they needed to extend it a second time, I don't know), only for the resolution to be rather rushed and disappointing. Still I can say this will probably go towards the top of my favorite K-dramas list. The chemistry between Nana and Yoon Sung was simply amazing in the first part, and I enjoyed the action genre.

Am I the only one giggling madly at the plot twists regarding Yoon Sung's "real father"? First he thinks the man who raised him is his father, later he is told that's not true and that the husband of his mother was murdered and that's why he was taken in, and then he finds out that he was actually an illegitimate son of the president and that his mother's husband was just someone who married her despite her situation. Oh, and by the way, his half-sister totally had the hots for him at one point! LOL.
