Journal of an Astral Travelling Starship Trooper
Rambling about stuff that may or may not interest you... Fangirling about musicians that may or may not interest you... Random stuff... Yeah, that's about it... There's a Sci-Fi story buried in here somewhere...
Why I love Cheap Trick - 14
So, in 1985, the guys released Standing on the Edge, a great album in its own right. It's got "Tonight It's You" on it, virtually the only hit, as far as I know. That's all for 1985...

Today, I found out what Rick Nielsen says at the beginning of the "Dream Police" video. I was completely clueless about it before. Here's what he says, very fast mind you, : "In promulgating your esoteric cogitations and articulating your superficial sentimentalities, amicable, philosophical and psychological observations...beware of platitude misponderosities...Are we really the Dream Police?"

And my favorite quote by a cartoon character, said by Homer Simpson, "I prefer to listen to Cheap Trick."

"Rock n' Roll Tonight" (1990)
"One on One" (1982) - the song where "Reputation is a Fragile Thing" comes from.
"Yeah Yeah" (1997)
"On the Radio" (1978)
"Sleep Forever" (2009) - Oh, the beauty!
"Come on Come on Come on" (2006)

I just love Tom's face! He's like, "We go on? When!?" This was the first photo I really remember seeing of Cheap Trick. It cracked me up. I just love these guys.

I don't even know... XD

Hanging with Howard Stern.

Sleeveless in Florida. This was at a Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey game in 2011 the day after my birthday. I think it was on my birthday actually.

Tom loves his guitar.

Robin rocking the Lightning jersey.

"I want you to want...me!"

Tommy with his John Entwistle style bass guitar.

I think that's Comita...Ugh, Comita. And notice Rick's sweater. emotion_smilies/icon_awesomeface.gif

Cheap Trick B.C. (Before Cap). And look how skinny Robin is. Damn!
