This is somewhat a old experience I forgot to record.
Day of going to see Courtney Love play live for her 20th Anniversary Tour for Hole.
The excitement was up for me and my partner to see her (My partner has seen her previously before but this was my first time seeing her).
I remember stepping outside walking to our usual bus stop to be picked up and brought downtown to the concert.
Just at the bus stop we see a pile of trash dumped right on the side of the highway partially on the sidewalk and we were thinking what kind of disgusting creature would do something like that.
My boyfriend felt compelled to go up and investigate the trash as I told him not to go into that filth, which he did anyways.
Upon looking around he comes back saying hes found this unique looking item and revealing it to me.
It was a seashell necklace and on the inside of it was a Victorian portrait of Jesus holding the Sacred Heart. We both were astonishingly amazed by it.
Immediately I had the idea of throwing it out to Courtney while she was performing on stage because it was so relevant to her tour and her obsession with the Victorian style.
We both agreed that this would be a great idea.
Once we finally got to the show I remember everyone's energy was really off. Making them very negative and angry.. Either it was the full moon taking its effect upon the people or it was the events going on in this world bringing the humans psyche down to a miserable depression and anger. The media was always great for that..
Both my boyfriend and I got to the concert early to get close front row of the stage (not quite in front row but standing in the second line of people very well close enough to the stage). We waited for the concert to start.
There was 2 tall obsessed gay couple standing in front of us that immediately had a very poor energy surrounding them. One giving everyone a scowling look and gossiping to his partner about people in the crowd.
I couldn't see at all over there towering height, as I am 5'0 ... short person.
So my boyfriend asked politely to them if I can go in front of them and immediately the response was snarly "Don't f***ing talk to me!" he growled.
We decided to stay positive and turn it into a laughing matter by laughing at him and even others around could feel this miserably beasts energy and was compelled to ask us what his problem was and in our response we could only say we have no idea what compels whatever this creature is. Loud enough for him to hear us.
The opening band came out called "Starred". She looked exactly like Courtney that it was so hilarious that everyone was screaming out "COURTNEY!!! YEAH!!!".
Even I was convinced it was Courtney. Mind you I was a little taken on by the drink as was the majority of everyone else.
Starred continued to play having a funny sense of humor pretending to be Courtney Love for laughs.
She played almost like some surreal hauntingly sounds that seemed to take you into the world of mysticism with a hint of rock to it.
After her first song me and my boyfriend immediately realized this was not Courtney. and began laughing while people still were preaching Courtney's name in the crowd.
Suddenly I notice 2 tall skin heads come up in behind and I couldn't help but hear them planning to start a violent mosh; pushing and throwing everyone up front back.
I reported this to my boyfriend and we stood our ground on alert and the people around us just as connected as we were could feel this pent up violent energy about to break out. So we all became increasingly alert some standing there ground, others anticipating with excitement for the mosh to break out, and others who were scarred and didn't know what to do; but panic.
Thankfully a mosh pit didn't break out as one of the girls said "Oh don't worry, that's just my boyfriend and his friend; they aren't serious, they are actually good people".
However somewhere in the audience people began to throw there empty beer mugs at the guest singer "Starred" barely missing her and crashing in the back of the stage.
I was amazed to see the guest singer still continued on the performance despite the rude and violent behavior.
Once "Starred" finished there set I gave her a big applause as did the majority of everyone else.
Before you knew it, like a sudden change in energy came out Courtney Love, with a handful of roses. The crowd nearly went wild with so much excitement!
Throwing out the rose petals to the crowd and then began her performance and totally rocked the building apart with the over powering loud thunderous volume of her guitar and drums.
Mind you the previous members for Hole was not there only new members to fill in which she ended up finding herself.
Everything was great except one girl close to us foolishly was trying to talk on her cellphone and was leaning up against us from the back using all her body weight. And us as a support. (The crowd was really packed).
Choosing to ignore this and continue rocking out enjoying the music she accidentally bumped into another guy who immediately turned around and attacked her pushing her and immediately 3 other girls jumped in to the brawl attacking her ripping and tearing and pulling her hair screaming at her.
It was at the point that I told my boyfriend to help her. So he grabbed the girl being attacked by the arm and pulled her closer to us, using his body as a shield telling the attackers to leave her alone. Forget about her and enjoy the rest of the show.
The girl that was attacked was crying to us her hair all frazzled saying "I didn't do anything.." Which I told her "We know. Just get the ******** out of here now".
Which we also got out of the violent crowd ourselves refusing to stand near people who are overly aggressive.
We stood at the very back of all the crowd and watched the rest of the show from there. Where we met a nice woman and we began to relax ourselves by bonding with her and her calming energy while enjoying the show.
We never did get the chance to throw Courtney Love that necklace my boyfriend found that night.
However I now understand that necklace was meant for him that night. Until this day he wears it around his neck.
