The J-Pop Summit had it's 5th year. It was good. Music guests included Kylee, Daichi the human beatboxer, LoVendoR, SWEETY and the Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass. And the amazing Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. It also kicked off the Japanese Film Festival San Francisco.
I nearly went to Kintoki Con in Sacramento instead last weekend but I'm glad I got to see all the great music acts. I guess I will have to find some other way to see Koge Donbo.
The Nihonmachi Steet Fair is this weekend, one week after. I don't know how it's going to stack up when such a major entertainment event happened in Japantown just one week prior.
Later this month is the first ever U.S. Japan Expo in Santa Clara. It looks great. Guests like Iwadare Noriyuki, Sadamoto Yoshiyuki, Kozaki Yusuke, 1000 Say and Dempagumi.
San Diego Comic Con was reportedly more crowded than ever.
Games Comm is coming up. I hope for some interesting announcements.
