I saw this black crow being attacked by two other crows once I got off the bus and I rushed at it to scare them off; I realized the one being attacked wasn't flying away but hopping away from me frantically.
I realized the poor b*****d was injured and frightened so I calmed it down and used the sleeve of my jacket to pick it up and find a local animal hospital for it. The two other crows came following behind me tree to tree but gave up and retreated.
I looked into this crows eyes as I held it in my hands and it had crystal blue eyes which struck me a bit odd to see a crow with beautiful eyes like that. It looked back at me confused and it was trying to tell me something as it opens it mouth up at me.
Probably saying "Thanks for the lift."
Unfortunately I didn't think I was going to find one after walking a few blocks down the highway my boyfriend had a feeling there was one nearby but I just let it go under a tree and said goodbye to it hoping it was safer there.
One block away from releasing it we did came across a animal hospital for all species pretty damn convenient. I turned back to go get the crow but it ended up making it difficult to be caught again going into someone's backyard of there home so I left it be.
Hopefully the people living there see the wounded crow and do the right thing.
