Dear
Dear Professor,

My reasons for desiring to participate in the research is to further explore how to become a leader- a global leader.

In Psychology, most textbooks and lectures attributed the influence of individuals due to attractiveness or responsibility of power. Unfortunately, due to failure go against the large group populations, the problem of conformity occurs. Individuals who are smart alone, but placed together in a group where dissenting opinion may lead them to.

There was a quote that I stumbled on in high school, that influenced me to strive to be different from my school norm in academics. "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." However, while on the path, it can be quite lonely at times and discouraging when you meet strangers who upon your gamble, become critical and . Yet, this is the world we live in I believe.

This is another reason, I choose to take classes that are challenging, at the trade off of risking my GPA. While in some classes I thrived due to the critical thinking and participation in class, in others, I could not succeed and became "average."

However, what about those who do not possess those qualities? I would like to learn to attribute those characteristics to myself.
