Netsubou Clan

Clan Name:
Netsubou Clan

Kekkei Genkai:
Rakuin Shoujou (Mark of Heaven and Earth)

Stage One
Stage one features two possibilities. Which one you receive depends solely on fate (i.e. you get to choose which one you start with).
To Acquire: It is possible to be born with either of the abilities, but not both. The one you are not born with can be acquired after birth, though.

To acquire the ability known as Awakened Earth outside of being born with it, you must first become a genin. Afterwards, you must hone your physical skills by training in the art of taijutsu using one of the clan's special scrolls. By following the instructions of the scroll, you shall make progress towards learning a technique known as Bakadzikara (Great Physical Power). Once the technique is learned, a very small marking will appear on your left palm; three, black dots form in an equilateral triangular pattern. Bakadzikara is also automatically in effect at birth if you choose to to start with the Awakened Earth state.
During your first fight after obtaining Bakadzikara, or if your emotions become intense, a pattern of what looks like tattoo ink will emerge from one of the three dots on your left palm, covering the bottom of your forearm (side of your palm). What this pattern is depends solely on your personality. A lot of people feel a little pain when they appear, some people itch, it all varies.

To acquire the other ability, known as Awakened Heaven, outside of being born with it, you must first become a genin. Afterwards, you must hone your chakra skills by training in the art of ninjutsu using one of the clan's special scrolls. By following the instructions of the scroll, you shall make progress towards learning a technique known as Kouki (Aroused Energy). Once the technique is learned, a very small marking will appear on your right palm; three, black dots form in an equilateral, triangular pattern. Kouki is also automatically in effect at birth if you choose to start with the Awakened Heaven state.
During your first fight after obtaining Kouki, or if your emotions become intense, a pattern of what looks like tattoo ink will emerge from one of the three dots on your right palm, covering the bottom of your forearm (side of your palm). What this pattern is depends solely on your personality. A lot of people feel a little pain when they appear, some people itch, it all varies.

Abilities: Other than the techniques obtained via training towards this stage, only one thing is obtained. Well, not so much an ability, as a state of being. Upon birth, your soul is linked to a piece of equipment. The equipment is a manifestation of your personality; however, until it is released, the equipment is stored in a piece of jewelry, usually a necklace, a bracelet, or a ring; you're even born wearing this piece of jewelry. The equipment can be any type of object that can be used, really. Generally it takes the form of a combative device, such as a weapon, or a shield, or a helmet, etc. It can, however, also take the form of something simple, such as a construction hammer, or a pen. Anything is possible. Also, it doesn't have to be one thing. Something like twin swords is fine.

Stage Two
Unlike stage one, stage two develops as a whole, instead of in two, separate parts.
To Acquire: To unlock stage two, you must first completely obtain stage one. Then, you must essentially acquire experience in the art of weaponry by obtaining the technique Taishou (Object of Worship). Upon learning the technique, a second dot on each of your palms will begin blinking fairly slowly, with about five seconds in between transitions of appearing and disappearing. Then, in your next fight or when your emotions are intense, the second dot will transform into yet another marking that looks like a tatttoo. The piece of jewelry containing your special piece of equipment will now glow in a certain color light (you decide). After the light fades, you will find yourself holding or wearing (or whatever is applicable) your piece of equipment.

Abilities: If your weapon has special abilities, the first one is unlocked (or you can unlock all of them and reduce their power, up to you). You also no have the ability to channel your techniques through the equipment. Physical contact is required, and only techniques up to C in rank can be channeled through it. The effect of the technique when channeled through a piece of equipment is often identical to the original technique, but it can sometimes be altered slightly to make sense; it's never completely different though.
Rather than using a holster or something similar, the equipment is stored within the piece of jewelry it came from. Whenever released again, the equipment appears in a predetermined location (you choose, it's dependent on the type of equipment. A sword would appear in your hand. A helmet would appear on your head). Unfortunately, the equipment can only be absorbed into the jewelry again if you are in contact with it.
Lastly, your equipment and yourself start making a bond with one another. It's only minor right now, but you can partially experience what your blade experiences, as if it has its own senses (this ability will be left up to you, make it minor).

Stage Three
To acquire: This stage will unlock after you first kill someone with your equipment. If this is not applicable, let me know and we'll talk about it.
After that occurs, the final dot on your palms will unleash into a new tattoo. Usually the three tattoos that formed look like one tattoo as a whole, but it doesn't have to.

Abilities: Your weapon increases in strength, advancing to its second stage. It can also now be absorbed into the jewelry when the equipment is, at most, twenty meters away from you.
Your bond with the equipment increases, adding more to its bond ability, or simply enhancing it.
You now also obtain two different forms, Zentsuchi (Complete Earth) and Zenjoukai (Complete Heaven). I've described each of them in the form of techniques (which are obviously in the techniques section).
Lastly, the Object of Worship technique is enhanced, now allowing you to channel techniques up to B in rank through your weapons. This can now happen even while the weapon is up to ten feet away from you.

Stage Four
To Acquire: This stage is acquired by becoming a master of your equipment. After you unlock stage three, keep track of how many times you fight. After your seventh fight, you shall master your equipment. When this happens, you obtain a final tattoo anywhere on your body (you decided). You will unlock the final bond ability of your weapon. This bond ability is predetermined and explained in the ability section. After this happens, you equipment will tell you what you must do. For most people, you must actually commit suicide using your equipment. If that is not applicable, let me know, and again, we can talk about it.
After suicide is committed, you won't actually die. Instead, you will merge with your weapon, in a sense (or, depending on your final form, literally). Merging with your weapon unlocks a final form. You must decide what this is on your own in the form of a technique. Relate it to your weapon though.

Abilities: You and your piece of equipment have reached the maximum level of bond, allowing you to speak telepathically with your weapon. At this point, the weapon perceives things just like another person, essentially maxing out each of its senses (none are enhanced though, compared to a human - although if you're willing to give one of the sense up, we might be able to negotiate. Don't expect much for giving up the sense of taste, touch, and smell though).
Furthermore, you can now absorb your equipment into its linked piece of jewelry from anywhere, essentially making it impossible to steal without using some sort of technique to prevent it from moving (the movement is time/space manipulation; same concept as summoning an animal).
Just to mention this again, you also obtain a new technique, your character's final form. You have to get it approved on your own, by a mod, but I would like to see it as well.
Lastly, the Object of Worship technique is enhanced once more, now allowing you to channel techniques up to A in rank through your weapons. S and SS Ranks are too powerful though. This can now happen even while the weapon is up to 100 meters away from you (for RP purposes, basically, as long as the weapon is in the same thread as your character, you can do it).

Clan Techniques:
Jutsu Name:
Bakadzikara - Great Physical Power
Jutsu Rank:
C
Jutsu Type:
Taijutsu - Kekkei Genkai
Elements:
N/A
Jutsu Explanation:
This technique can be obtained in one of two ways. One, you can be born with it. The second way is to learn it like any normal technique; however, only members of the Netsubou Clan can do so.
This technique is very odd: when it's used is predetermined. It occurs every five posts, regardless of whether or not the user wants it to (i.e. the technique is used, four more posts go by, the technique must be used again). The user does feel a sensation within their body right before it occurs, so with training, one can learn to time it well. Fortunately, it does cost less chakra when it is used, being on par with a D Rank instead of a C Rank.
There are two stages to the technique. The first stage causes lower-body muscles to become enhanced, allowing the user to run a lot faster, jump a lot higher, etc. This speed is difficult to follow with the naked eye; however, at such high speeds, the user will have difficulty with turning, so they must run in a straight line, or at the very least, a line with only a slight curve. It's also difficult to stop quickly, so to prevent them from running into an object, the user must slow down considerably five feet before reaching an object.
The second stage also affects the muscles, but the enhancement is transferred to the upper body. It causes their movement speed to return back to normal, but now the speed and strength of their upper body movements (most notably, arms). The leg muscles are naturally stronger than the upper-body muscles though, so the speed isn't the same as in the first stage. Rather than seeing nothing, the naked eye might see a blurred object instead (granted, this blurred effect would only affect their arms and hands, not the rest of their body, because while punching, your arm moves the most). This will obviously also increase the damage of the user's physical attacks, allowing them to crack trees with punches, and create minor craters in the ground. Thus, breaking bones isn't really a problem either.
Lastly, while the muscles are enhanced, the user obtains a higher endurance level in the affected area, allowing them to take stronger attacks than normal.

Jutsu Name:
Kouki - Aroused Energy
Jutsu Rank:
C
Jutsu Type:
Ninjutsu - Kekkei Genkai
Elements:
Any applicable, or none.
Jutsu Explanation:
This technique can be obtained in one of two ways. One, you can be born with it. The second way is to learn it like any normal technique; however, only members of the Netsubou Clan can do so. If born with it, a little practice is required to use it effectively.
The technique is rather simple, but with multiple, possible outcomes.
The user generates chakra through their body, or a part of their body. One of two things can then occur. The chakra can act as a shield, if the user simply causes it to stay still through their body, essentially protecting them from techniques up to D in Rank. C-ranked attacks are considerably weakened.
On the other hand, the chakra can be expelled from their body in two different forms. If concentrated, it takes the form of a flawed sphere (looks like a ball of flowing liquid, except it's not contained into a perfect sphere). Or the chakra can be expelled around their entire body, although this way is limited in range to five meters from the user. This form kind of looks like a wave of very clear water. The concentrated form explodes upon contact, although the force isn't very large...only enough to push someone about ten feet away from the ball, at most (e.g. if you're standing one foot away from the ball when it explodes, you'll be pushed nine feet. If you're standing five feet away from the ball, you'll be pushed five feet).
The less concentrated form isn't an attack, and isn't quite a defense. Instead, it simply slows anything down that passes through it, kind of like something flowing through water, although not as considerable.
Furthermore, if the user has minor control over chakra elements (at least one technique learned in that element), it can be channeled through the chakra. With the barrier, it doesn't appear to change, but once elemental chakra is channeled through it, its effectiveness alters, depending on what it's blocking, though it only alters it by one rank. (e.g. if you channel water chakra through it, the barrier's effectiveness increase by rank when used against fire techniques).
When you channel elements into the concentrated ball of chakra, the explosion still takes affect, but it now has altered affects (although all of them still have the pushing ability). Fire: A wave of heat energy is blasted outwards, causing minor burns (similar to sunburns). Water: A wave of water comes out, making it an effective against fire. Earth: Small rocks are added into the explosion, causing potential fractures to small bones (fingers, toes, the noes, etc.). They also sting pretty badly. Lightning: Anyone caught within the explosion is shocked, causing paralysis that lasts for a post. Wind: The force of the explosion increases, causing the distance someone is blown back to double.
When you channel elements into the external wave of chakra, only minor things occur. Fire: Temperature increase, no damage. Water: Things become damp. Earth: Minor pain (like being flicked) occurs over the entire body. Lightning: Minor shock. Fingers become difficult to move effectively. Wind: The decrease in speed is doubled.
Each effect has separate cooldowns. The shield/barrier has a cooldown of four posts. The concentrated ball of chakra has a cooldown of two posts. And the external wave of chakra has a cooldown of three.

Jutsu Name:
Taishou - Object of Worship
Jutsu Rank:
B
Jutsu Type:
Bukijutsu (Weapon Technique) - Kekkei Genkai
Elements:
Any applicable element
Jutsu Explanation:
Learning this technique is part of obtaining the second stage of the Netsubou Clan's kekkei genkai; you must obtain the first stage before it can be learned.
Any type of handheld weapon can be used while learning this technique. Kunai, shuriken, and katanas are common choices.
When this technique is learned, the bond between the user and his/her weapon increases, unleashing their destined piece of equipment (related to the Netsubou's KG).
What this technique does is allow the user to channel their chakra into a weapon, then manifest their techniques through the weapon. Most of the time, the outcome of the technique is identical to the original technique, but in some cases, minor changes can occur to make it applicable (e.g. if the original technique is a fireball, when channeling it, the weapon might simply be surrounded by fire). This is primarily used with the user's destined weapon; however, it can be used with any ordinary object as well; however, the effects are limited. Any object used other than the user's destined weapon causes the channeled technique to decrease by one rank, and physical contact must be made with it to initiate the channeling.
The strength of this technique increases as the user advances in their kekkei genkai.
Stage One: After obtaining stage one, the user may learn this technique, but nothing happens until they've actually learned it (not even a partial effect).
Stage Two: After learning this technique, stage two is unlocked. The user may only channel techniques up to C Rank through their weapon, and they must have physical contact with the weapon to do so.
Stage Three: They can now channel B Ranks through their weapon, and can be done even while the weapon is ten feet away from you.
Stage Four: They can channel techniques up to A in rank through their weapons. S and SS Ranks are too powerful though. This can now happen even while the weapon is up to 100 meters away from you (for RP purposes, basically, as long as the weapon is in the same thread as your character, you can do it).

Jutsu Name:
Zentsuchi - Complete Earth
Jutsu Rank:
B
Jutsu Type:
Taijutsu - Kekkei Genkai
Elements:
N/A
Jutsu Explanation:
This technique is obtained after obtaining the third stage of the Netsubou Clan's Kekkei Genkai.
When activated, chakra surrounds the user's entire body. Any attack used against them is decreased by two ranks. It's increased to three ranks if the user stands completely still (movement causes the chakra to slightly disrupt). The initial activation costs the chakra of a B-Ranked technique. For every additional post it is active, it costs the chakra of an E Rank.
This form may only last for a maximum total of five posts, and has a cooldown of 3 posts for every post it was active (if it was active for one post, it has a cooldown of three posts. If it was active for five posts, it has a cooldown of fifteen posts).

Jutsu Name:
Zenjoukai - Complete Heaven
Jutsu Rank:
B
Jutsu Type:
Ninjutsu - Kekkei Genkai
Elements:
Jutsu Explanation:
This technique is obtained after obtaining the third stage of the Netsubou Clan's Kekkei Genkai.
When activated, this technique causes chakra to surround the user's destined weapon (related to the Netsubou Clan). While in this form, the weapon can essentially be moved telepathically, though it isn't. Instead, the weapon basically can move freely as it desires. The effectiveness of this depends on what the bond abilities of the user and the weapon are (again, related to the Netsubou Clan's Kekkei Genkai).

Clan Members:
• Hiryuu (BJW81_RawR)

Villages:
The clan is stationed in Kirigakure, but members are welcomed to join any village.

Clan Background:
Not much is known about the clan. They were said to be warriors in the shinobi wars, but until recently, they never really interacted with the villages (aside from fighting in the wars, obviously). Many think that due to Kirigakure's infamous Seven Swordsmen, the Netsubou Clan (who are known for also using weapons effectively) headed to Kirigakure, because they thought they would fit in. Turns out, they kind of started a rivalry of sorts with the Seven Swordsmen; one with a lot of animosity and hostility. They currently compete with the Swordsmen to be known as Kiri's strongest weapon-users, although this isn't something every member partakes in. Some are fine with idly sitting by and watching all the chaos. Granted, none of the clan members would go as far as killing or severely injuring the Swordsmen...or any residence of the village, but there have been cases where things have gotten close.

Other: I'm fine with anyone joining the clan, but please send me a PM about it first. If you're going to join, I want our characters to be linked somehow, or at least linked to someone else in the clan. Making a character in this clan for the sake of the abilities is annoying; having some type of relationship with the members of the clan makes things more interesting.
If you PM me, please copy and paste the following and fill it out. It's the guild's format for weapons with minor changes to fit the clan. When you submit it for mod review, you might also want to make note that it's part of this clan. In addition to the following, please also send me a description of your Final Form...although this can happen at any time.
