Another journal entry for this week, I suppose! Anyway, my mom decided to set up the tethering feature our phone provider, well, provides. This allows me to get medium-strength somewhat-high speed internet on my laptop, which is basically enough or me. It's not very reliable with videos, unfortunately, but it passes by. I'm basically using her phone's 4G connection as a means to connect to the internet myself, and so far it's helping me out with connecting to games and such that I like, virtually lag free.
In other news, I've been playing a game called A Witch's Tale. This game provides a story about a young Liddell, witch-in-training who is powerhungry and dreams of becoming a great witch. In her search for power, she seeks Babayaga, a supposed great witch, and in that process, sends her to an eerie castle housed by a vampiric guardian. Inadvertently, she finds a sacred room, and frees a powerful and malignant witch. By doing so, she is held utmost responsible for her crimes and has to seek out the six sigils of the six worlds, so she could open up the path to Queen Alice's world and stop the Eld Witch from ultimately ruining the world.
The gameplay is heavily reliant on turn-based combat, using magic as the main attack force. Your party strictly consists of you -- Liddell -- and dolls that harbor special powers to aid you. Your mission? To travel to the six worlds, solve annoying puzzles, gather up special ingredients, and save the princesses of said worlds just to move on. The plot is great, really.
Unfortunately, my patience is thin with these kind of games, so I gave up, never finished it, and just ended up spoiling it for myself. I won't spill any beans here though!
That's all for today.
