A lot has happened the last few days, that changed me, and can possibly change the world. I'm not going to start to revolve this around me just yet though. First, I want to talk about the amazing feat that Wendy Davis managed to pull of. We're talking about the Texan filibuster to delay and ultimately stop SB5 from passing.
SB5 had the potential to cancel out all medical services that offered abortions for fetuses who are twenty weeks into gestation, restricting the rights women have to their bodies, and their personal anatomy. This is wrong, and there are many, many, many reasons why behind it. Rape is a crime, and if a woman is violated against her will, she should have the right to abort the child. The only reason why fetuses have (apparently) more rights than women is because it still has a fifty-fifty chance of being male. This is not okay, bullying a woman is not okay, chaining her rights is not okay, and passing laws on how she should work her body is definitely not okay. Nothing that that bill states is okay, and it should be abolished and killed.
Wendy Davis preformed a wonderful filibuster in the Texan state senate for thirteen hours straight, without being able to pause for a bathroom break, breakfast, lunch, or dinner break. She was not able to sit down. She was not able to do anything, but remain standing and constantly preach on how limiting abortions and killing the rights of woman in the state is wrong. I don't really know all the details, and I don't think I should get into them without putting bad info in here, but I do know that Wendy Davis is a wonderful woman, and a great human being, and she should definitely be recognized and awarded for her endeavors.
On a different subject, recently, the Studio Killers album came out. I'm glad it did, since 'Ode to the Bouncer' is an amazing song and the music video. Studio Killers is a visual electro-sound band comprised of Cherry, the lead singer, Goldie Foxx, and Dyna Mink, along with their manager Bi-Polar Bear. Their music is great and produces a message for a lot of people. I definitely recommend them.
Anyway, it's been a while since I've lost my internet, almost a week in fact. Ever since, I've made a bit of progress in bettering my household hygiene and stuff. Unfortunately, I have social anxiety, and phone anxiety, and to be here and write this entry right now, I have to travel to the nearest library, which isn't all that far. I feel okay in the library now, but walking to it is kind of torture, and getting ready is also torture.
I forgot where I was going with this. I think I'd feel a lot better writing this at home.
