Winded, and bolting after him. I fear if I stop running my heart will explode. "Come on Val where are you? I think and off in the distance a violin is strung and plays a familiar lullaby. "Gotcha." I say aloud as I follow the sound as it gets stronger. It’s right here I know it is the song is strongest here. As I look around at all the key points my fear is correct he is on the top of the mountain and I will climb it no matter if I get sick I know I will climb it.
My back tightens and tingles and a giant stabbing jolt causes a scream to catch at my throat. "What the!!!" I say in shock, the wings Zero taught me how to manifest usually are tiny multi blue pixie like wings that look like a min version of Ice's: long, slender, strong, except mine are now short and pointed as if they were a falcons but have roundness to them like an Accipiter's wing. I exhale slowly and jump up beating my wings fast and hard. A strong up wind causing a draft to give me expensive high speed, before I knew it I'm in front of Val smiling at him. I whistle and get his attention" Holy crap!" Val yelps as he falls back...." Jesus Kay you scared the crap out of me! Don't do that!" I laugh and glide around him in a large circle showing off my newly found wings "Aren't they epic look at them." I say as I twirl upward and land gently barely even feeling the ground beneath my feet. "Yeah they are but shouldn't you be with your mate." Val spats at her. I was angry but didn't respond I knew better
Narrators point of view: Val began to glare because of her expression and then he sighed feeling upset. He had always had some sort of crush on Kay ever since the day they met, Val knew the story like the back of his hand every detail about it:
They were in the hospital visiting Bases mortal girlfriend and he saw Kayla being comforted by a man, Base had force Val to go say hi when the man left, he did. Kayla ended up spilling her guts out and showed him to her aunt Zero. That’s when base came and grabbed kayla hugging her forcing her to laugh. That the day it all started, their quests, the Grand battle. And the defeat of the crazy demonic queen Helena.
He had hoped she remembered that day to." Look Kay I must practice-'' she had slapped him before he could finish. Angry flushed her face she did not want him to believe that she said yes to ice she didn't. Val stood up and grabbed the angered but expressionless Kay by the collar hanging her " you cannot slap me ever hear of respecting your elders you fowl harlot?" Kay stayed silent she knew very well it pissed him off. "Answer me!" Val yelled. Silence wasn't her answer this time, this time it was a slight soft smile and a tear drop " Harlot okay I’ll agree with you there I am pretty slutty I guess oh and I just came to see if you were...if you were alright and wanted to tell you, that I didn’t say yes actually I was about to disagree but I couldn’t I dunno something convinced me that you didn't like me and Ice did so I choose the better option no to both. I was right to pick that yo-you just are to angry and rude to me and always treat me as though I am pet. Have fun being clan leader." Kay says calmly even though masses stream of tear are pouring down her face. Kay bats her wings and is let lose by Val and fly's off before he can apologize.

A note is sung out by my violin nothing can compare on how rude I was to her in a word I am a d**k. "Sometimes Val you're a complete idiot calling her a harlot really but the way Kay said something changed her mind and caused her to believe Ice is a tiny bit fishy don't you think?" Base questions me. All I do is play sad made up songs on my violin and pout. "Yeah I guess but how did she figure out that I am clan leader now? I didn't even tell you how could she have known." I ask my voice cracking. Things went silent and the wind thrashed my long dark pony tail back and forth as I paced.
A good ten minutes pass and I am still pacing rethinking of what Kay said " I dunno something convinced me that you didn't like me and Ice did so I choose the better option no to both...." It rang in my head over an over again
Val’s point of view a month after the last event and no one has seen Kayla: "Val!" Base yelled out "What?!" I snap "I've been calling your name for the past ten minutes dude what were you thinking about?" Base asks with worry in his tone "It's nothing hey Base can you cast a spell on one to agree with you?" I say casually "yep, definitely it’s the kiss of agreement I think...why do you ask?" base questions me. I didn't answer instead I changed the subject to the event with lady zero." So ice is banished and never allowed to see lady Kayla until trail correct?" I ask politely " Mhm I can't believe Lady Zero would make me do such a thing but we were supposed to change her back to her original age today, so how old is she again?" Base says with curiosity in his tone, "24 next week, wow it has been ten years since we changed her age and memory. Hey base how old does that make you I know I was 18 when I met her and it’s been- "shut up coward or should I say valiant?" base cuts me off. I start laughing and remember when I was called coward horrible names elf's get” You're ooooolllldd!" I tease " ooooollldy you're old!' “You’re a perv." Base says sharply and the conversation end with heat along my cheeks glaring at base and a hint of laughter creeps up my throat til my sides hurt and I can’t breathe.

Tears streak down my face yet I feel calm but I feel detached very peaceful, I end up smiling happily. I find a clear field with a chilled tree and decide to land underneath it. Gently I set my feet down and stare at the tree taking every detail of its white bark it's green with chilled white tips, it has bloomed with its star-like flowers “winter must be here you only bloom once it has set in. How beautiful you are," I lay along its large graceful roots staring up looking through where the leaves separate, dividing evenly with a stroke of wind barely noticeable. " It is quite beautiful is it not lady Kayla?" I am surprised at the voice, jumping up in alarm and relax once I see who it is " Aunt Zero, you scared me but yes it is quite lovely, may I ask what grant me with your presence has something occurred in your court?' I ask with worry in my tone, Aunt Zero only comes when I have disturbed the balance of natural order," Sadly yes, but I have fixed it and I am here to fix anther problem. Kay I need to tell you the truth okay?" Her voice is sweet and gentle but with every word she sound in distress.
She walks up and we lay against the tree together. "Aunt Zero is it true about Val an elf being a kitsune clan leader?" I ask,- I’m actually curious no one is allowed to be a leader unless from our blood line of “true” kitsunes. “Indeed child but that is not what I came to talk about you need to know the truth about yourself, like me you memory was erased and your age was altered." Aunt Zero wasn't looking at me, her eyes were closed "What do you mean I’m 14 I know this you found and saved me when I was 13! We had my fourteenth birthday party almost a year ago my fifteenth is coming up. You're lying aren't you?" I say frantically I feel presser on my shoulders, she is holding me down so I don't run away. “No I am not, that party was ten years ago honey you're- "Shut up!!!!!!!!! I’m only fourteen i-i know this I know this Aunty stop!" I’m yelling now and my voice feels far away.
I thrash back on fourth alas Aunt Zero can hold down an elephant with her pinky no way I can escape so I give up. She lightly kisses my four head and images flash through my mind of my uncle Edward and cousins Sayde and kitty abandoning me, Llebasi killing herself so Zero can live, Christina killing Ty, Axle sending her to hell and The first day I met Zero when she found my in that bloody room , filled to the brim of animals I killed "Make it stop!!!" I shriek out "Please I don’t want to remember make it stop please I don't want to know any of this please!!!" I sob, screaming in pain I feel a slight touch and everything I see goes blank.
I wake in my room,-no this isn't my room it’s my old one-my eyes are puffy and my nose is clogged so it makes it hard to breathe. I sit up and everything is different" Am I taller?" I say as I walk up to my mirror and bend down to see a twenty-four year old with my blush pink hair but in zero's old clothes.
" You're finally awake my dear," Zero says lightly ” so this is a dream right?" I say denying the truth from everything. "Sure if you like it to be but you know as well as I do it is not Kayla- " its Kay not Kayla “ I glare at her
"Fine Kay, I am guessing you haven't excepted the truth?" Zero finishes " No I don't but I have to my dreams never have a room like this in them and besides all though they just-” I trail off once Val enters the room with Ice slung over his shoulder. "Ah you brought him I see he is finally recorvered enough for healers to finish off the rest" Zero says very pleased, "set him on the bed." I stare at Ice then Val, in confusion. “Lady Zero where is Kay and Base we need them both." Val ask, ouch thanks val,

I walk and tend to Ices wounds healing them the way Base had taught me. "Drag your aura across his body at a correct angle Kay or you can kill him." he would say. I did so instantly healing him and standing up smiling at Val. He nodded and I bowed thanks. I see Zero through the corner of my eye smirking at me " My young lady may I speak with you?" Zero asks and we left the room. “What are you doing?!" She whispers loudly in my ear. I sighed out and look deeply into aunt's eye " starting over I wish not to be Kay or Lady Kayla anymore." Zero nodded in a understanding way. " What will you call yourself then?" I thought about it for a second..."Mira, " I say confidently "Well Mira welcome to the kitsune guild you are a leader and will be taking my place so I may take my role in the high consul and as for Valiant he shall be your knight and equal in court" Zero says with great pride and happiness as a smile-more of a grin- spreads across my face.
