There are people whom ask me how I do my work on Photoshop CS6. It's simple really all you've gotta do is stamp a background on your workplace and then a render with a text to make ti look fancy. If you want to make it look even more fancier then just add effects and it's all good, but first you'll need to learn the basics on making a signature / banner, blah blah blah. If you listen, you may be able to make posters.
Sharpening a render > Place "any" render from PSD-Dreams into your workplace. > Duplicate it and then Overlay it. > Select the duplicated layer: Image > Adjustments > Desaturate (D) > Select the duplicated layer: Filter > Other > Custom > Select the duplicated layer: Filter > Other > High Pass (I recommend 10 or 40 as the radius) > Merge both of the layers together and then Filter > Sharpen Edges.
Boom! You've just made a good looking render. Now with the backgrounds / effects. Usually what I use is Topaz Clean to give renders a simple, clean look. [x] Click the [x] and you will be directed to the download of Topaz Clean. Once you've set it up to your Photoshop go to Filter > Topaz Labs > Topaz Clean > Topaz Cartoon and for the cartoon part make sure the settings are right as listed below:
Clean Strength: 0 Threshold: 0.64 Radius: 14 Edges Accent: 2 Radius: 1.50 Sharpness: 0.37
....And press OK and then go back to Filter > Topaz Labs > Topaz Clean > Topaz Cartoon and press OK and basically what you're doing is you're excessively doing that until you see results in your render. For backgrounds I use wallpapers from a absolutely amazing website [x] -- And for the effects part you could look up some tutorials for them and what not, usually when I make renders I brighten their eyes, google it. I would tell you how to do it in text format, but there are videos on YouTube that are like 17 seconds on how to brighten eyes, just watch that. I also get flares / stocks / backgrounds from this website [x]. Pretty helpful if you ask me, well thanks for tuning in I shall make more once I get more experienced with Photoshop.
