Valentine's Day
Oh, one of the fun days!
Valentine's day is generally not my favorite day, whether I'm in a relationship or not, but I can't deny that this Valentine's day was a wonderful one!
First off was working at the Post Office. It was busy as hell and there were so many cute Valentine's and things to deliver! I really love having busy days, so I was already happy. However, then my boss pointed out something when UPS packages arrived. There were two for me. I certainly did not remember ordering anything and they were both from Amazon, but it didn't take long to put the pieces together.
I sent an exuberant text to Connor and, lo and behold, they were from him. He got me a beautiful silver necklace with a heart shaped gem the color of my birthstone. He also sent me another horse, Sheneighneigh smilies/icon_biggrin.gif I don't think I've mentioned this, but before he left for D.C., he got me a horse named Mr. Neighneigh, who I have dutifully slept with every night (even though I'd never slept with a stuffed animal before). It's significant, not because either of us has a huge affinity for horses, but because we had a conversation once about what we'd name horses if we had them and those are the two we came up with. I'm really happy with these things. I didn't expect anything except for a Skype date later in the day (which I was content with), so I was ecstatic.
And, of course, later we had said Skype date where he raved about what I'd sent him and made me blush. I'd sent him homemade ginger snaps, chocolate cigars, a fox that I'd made a vest and shutter shades for (he calls it Brox [bro fox]), and a 6 page letter describing all the things I really like about him. He told me no one had ever said such nice things to him before, which boggles my mind because he deserves to hear those things every day. I really don't know how I got so lucky.
Anyway, that was Valentine's day smilies/icon_smile.gif
Tonight, now, is a bit odd. I texted him earlier, but Friday's are generally his party nights (because he works ridiculous hours during the week and needs to unwind), so I didn't expect to hear anything until late or tomorrow. He texted back 3 hours later saying "I'm so wasted! I lobe you beautiful!" Just like that. It's hilarious to me, but also concerning. We have not dropped the L word, so I'm not sure if he means it or if he's really that drunk. And, I mean, it technically isn't even the L word, so... XD We'll see! I was more concerned earlier, but there's no point worrying about it. I'll just let him have his fun!
