Highbank, A town overlooking a lake with mysterious legends and three main roads going through it, it was one of the largest most economically stable towns in all of the land. People would flock here to sell what they could or to buy what they needed. But off to its side, just across the lake was where all of the residents of the huge and prosperous town lived, and there our story begins.


With such greed among the neighboring regions of the world, some were constantly at war to try and gain land or to take over an entire nation, some suceeded, some were destroyed, and then there are the peaceful nations that tended to stay to themselves. These, as agreed by the league of nations of the world were off limits. however, with the lines growing closer and closer as other nations retreated as far inland as they could. An evil was stirring just outside the borders of the town called Highbank. It came with new technology and machinery, overwhelming all other nations in its path. But this new evil did not start from another nation, oh no. It was grown from a different planet. Humans (i plan on making the population of this world nekos, if you disagree just say alien humanoids or something, i will come up with it later) had landed on this planet in barren lands. stuck there they leeched the land of what resources were around them, leaving the land a terrible mess and poluting the area around it. they began to multiply and one day the nations of the planet called Thelus began to meet humans, they brought them in and taught them their ways and their language. but how humans were was not swayed so easily and eventually began to become a plague on the nation they were in! and soon enough they were hunted, unwanted and enslaved to ensure that they would cause no more harm to the planet. But with them they brought their knowledge and soon began festering in the far corners of the globe, unexplored sections that were deemed inhabitable by the local neko, mermaid and fairy population (again, just human, i will come up with something later if you want). they started to build in what was once thought of dead land, unfarmable and unlivable atmosphere, but the locals were wrong. And soon they began to mine the lands, becoming their own small nation. The league of nations refused to bargain, instead they did their best to keep people from smuggling anything over into the human territory. and soon they began to expand, sending out warnings to nations around them. but none took them seriously! How could such bulky and silly creatures defeat them! They were mistaken, wave upon wave of human flesh charged from the darkened lands and soon they were taking the world for themselves, poisoning the waters and killing the trees, soon the only population they had to worry about was the neko themselves! Mermaids and fairies were scarce, and even the large lake around highbank began to turn dark as humans grew closer. Until one day..

Leon was one of the few enslaved humans that had came from the once peaceful humans, He did mechanical work and excelled at it, buying his freedom and showing the people around him that he was not like most others, but he was still feared, some saying he was a spy and others trying to murder him. But he stood his ground no matter what happened. that is until the humans started spreading closer to their lands


Commoner: "How is it that we can trust him any more, people come in and out of this town all the time! Yes he may have helped us but what cost wil it be when everything he has built and secured for us turnes against us, we didnt used t have internet, nor comunication services. it used to be letters and telegrams...what if they are listening in and he is helping them!"

2nd commoner: "relax Brandon, i know youve been paranoid in your lifetime but dont be absurd, he has done more for this town than any one could! He has even set up secure communications that cannot be tapped except manually, and do you know how hard that is? I worked with the man as he secured it, even after him teaching me everything there is to know i cant break it, and after the installation neither could he! Just calm down now okay? Go back to your meat cutting, I will be over there to fix the ice machine later

Leon had been walking down the street, looking at his map and entering a book store just a few meters down "You know i can hear you brandon, I know you didnt like me much but i never knew it was for that! If i was a spy would i have secured everything so tightly and fought to protect this land when Tsundaris attacked four years ago? I was 17 and I volunteered! I could have died, if i was on a spy mission i certainly wouldnt have done something like that!" he entered the store before anything else could be said, all he could hear were muffled yells about him being a rat or something. he looked to his map and set it on the counter, it had holes and was outdated "Hello" he said as he walked up to the counter "I need a new map...of just this town...am I the only one who ever gets lost any more? I never see any one else have a problem, maybe im just...I dont know, either way how are you today?"


(make her the book store keeper, maybe have a crush on him or something? the raid will happen in a day or so


I can always change this up, with different species, and we can take either role. im always up for ideas so have a go!
