"Lily," An older voice was heard making the young girl stopped dead in her track. She turned with a nervous laugh, "Yes grandfather?" She asked sounding innocent. "Where do you think are going young lady? You know how much I don't like you wandering off to woods on your own. Especially when evening comes around," He called out to her from his rocking chair. Lily groaned and walked towards his grandfather with a pouty face, "Now now Lily, that is not how a young lady should act," He said to her. "Grandfather I am old enough to be on my own and adventuring the world. I mean it's not like I'm leaving. I simply wanted to visit the fields is all," She said to him as she sat on her knees placing her hands to his right hand. He softly chuckled and with his other free hand she patted her head and let out a heavy sigh, "I know very well Lily. You remind me so much of your mother. May her spirit rest in peace," He said looking down at her and let another heavy sigh but with a smile. "I'm just afraid something bad might happened to you, and I wouldn't be there to protect you," He paused for a moment as if thinking and then continued, "However, if you truly want to go then you may go," He said with a smile. Lily beamed standing right up hugging her grandfather tightly, "Oi~! You got a strong grip Lily. Just like your father," He chuckled as so did she, "Oops sorry grandfather," She released him. Lily was not at all like many of the young girls in the village. She was much taller; towering everyone in the village, and her strength wasn't normal either. For you see Lily was 1/4 Giant from her father side. Don't ask how it happen, but it did. Those two did the unthinkable and what came of it was Lily.

"O thank you so much grandfather, and for tonight I'll make us your favorite dessert. Blueberry pie! How does that sound?" She eyed him. His expression teary eyed, "You are such a good granddaughter. I think I'll keep ya another year before marrying you off," He joked. "Hey~ You watch it you here. You'll see grandfather, one day I'll find myself a husband and you won't have to worry so much about me wandering the fields all by myself. Anyways, enough of this jibber jabber. I'm off and I promise I'll be back before the sun sets," She lean in and kissed his cheek hugging him tightly again, "I love you grandfather. Thanks again. See you soon all right!" She grabbed a small basket for the blueberries she'd soon be collecting and waved to her grandfather before walking out the door, "I'll be right here!" He called out with a happy grin. Unfortunately for Lily's grandfather death was knocking at his door as we speak.

After been gone for almost two hours Lily decided to head towards Catto Woods to pick the blueberries she had promised her grandfather. A she was picking the berries she suddenly stopped and heard something. She looked at her surroundings and felt something bad in the air. She decided to head home unable to shake the horrible feeling she was getting. As she left Catto woods and headed into the fields for home she stopped in her tracks as she saw something in the air. Black smoke, and soon she heard it more clearly. Screams! With that she ran as fast as her feet could take her, *Grandfather!* Her mind screamed in panic hoping and praying he was safe from harm.

Lily was correct to worry cause at the moment that she was rushing to her home; her home were being under attacked by lowlife bandits. The women grabbed their babies and children rushing out of the village for safety while the men armed themselves with sharp tools, and rifles protecting what was there. The bandits cackled and chuckled evilly as they charged into their homes stealing everything and then burning the home they stole from. Lily's grandfather rushed towards his rifle and readied himself to protect his home. Soon the doors of his home was broken down and one of the bandits burst in but didn't make it far as he was shot right in the heart, "You barbarians! You are not welcome here! Get out of my home!" He shouted at them while he shot at another bandit coming it, but missed this time. "Stupid old man! Learn your place!" The man charged at him and Lily's grandfather gasped in horror as the man stabbed him in the pit of his stomach. "L-Lily..." He spoke out losing consciousness.

Soon Lily's arrived at the entrance of her village and horror came to her. Her entire village was in flames. She saw the bandits burning the homes of her neighbors that's she's lived with ever since she was born. "O my God..." She wanted to cry but she was so angry inside. "H-how could they---" She then stopped herself when she saw bandits leaving her home with bags of her belongings. "G-Grandfather-!" She realized; fear striking her as the one that cut him grabbed a torch ready to burn her only home she knew. Images of her grandfather flew right past her and she sprint to the man pouncing on him biting on to his ear and hard making it bleed. "ARGH! Y-YOU LITTLE b***h! LET GO!" He shouted slamming her against the wall of her own home. Her hands released his neck and face, but she smiled nonetheless as she had a chunk of ear in her mouth. She spit it at his face and saw the knife that he dropped. "YOU b***h! Look what you did to my ear!" He roared. She took the chance and grabbed the knife jabbing it directly into his heart. The bandit dropped dead in seconds. The two bandits that were with their now dead comrade starred at the wild woman in front of them in amazement, "GET OUT OR THE TWO OF YOU ARE NEXT! GET!" She shouted as she had grabbed the still flaming torch if any case they tried to come near her she'd burn them. "I'm not messing with this crazy lot. First that old dried up man and now this giant wild woman. We got what we came, so let's get going," He told the other and they both agreed leaving Lily alone. After they were gone she tossed the torch onto the bucket of water and rushed inside calling for her grandfather. "L-Lily..." He called out softly. "Grandfather! O my God," She cried lowering herself to aid him. "Your wounded. O I should have listened to you grandfather. I should have been here to protect you," She cried trying to remove his shirt and stop the bleeding. "L-Lily...it's okay. T-There's...nothing you can do now...I-I'm dying..." He spoke softly but happy that he got to see her one last time. Lily bit her lip trying to control her tears, "N-No...p-please don't go. We were suppose to have pie, and have lots of laughs. You can't die," She pleaded him. "You look so much like your mother, and I promise we will be watching over you in heaven. I love you Lily...my little L-Lily..." With that his heart stopped and left her with a smile on his face. Lily lifted him up and hugged him tightly bursting into tears, "NO! PLEASE DON'T GO! GRANDFATHER!!!!!!!!!!"

Moments later her and villagers that survived buried the dead out of respect and collected what they could. Lily had buried her grandfather next to her mother behind the house. She knelled on the ground floor looking at both graves, "What am I suppose to do to now that I'm alone? Mother. Grandfather." She continued to cry through out the night with no intention of sleep. At the very moment it wasn't possible.
