Sanya's Sayings!
Just a simple journal of stuff I have to say.
How Sanya lost her arms~
"It's snowing!!" Sanya ran up to the window in the dining hall, pressing her hands and cheeks against the cold glass. She had always loved the snow, when she lived in her home country she would wake up to a fresh blanket each morning. Her eyes gazed over in amazement at the sight, the snow lightly fell from the sky but enough of it had covered the trees and lawn of the cafe, leaving the scene in front of her pure and heavenly. "Hehe, never too old to go make snow angels!" Sanya was about to turn for her coat when movement caught her eye.

Out in the middle of the lawn looked to be smoke forming but it was isolated and very dark in color. She pressed her face against the glass again, her nose scrunching up from the pressure. Eventually the cloud had formed quite large and was very black in color but did not move with the wind. "Oh joy, another friendly visitor of the cafe, I hope this one just wants to eat and drink in peace, I'm ready for a day off from the drama!" The dark smoke cloud wasn't dispersing and it certainly wasn't some visitor making it's way to the cafe. Usually about this time Sanya would shut the blinds, turn off the lights and hide in her room. Her friends have been helping her to be a better person so she figured it was time to investigate.

Sanya bounded outside and approached the black smoke hovering a few feet over the ground. The falling snow seemed to vanish inside of it when a snowflake managed to fall near it's reach. She stood there, staring at it when suddenly two eyes formed or what seemed like eyes they were yellow and orange in color. She looked closer, the colors were fluctuating and she realized it was a fire burning on the other side of these "eyes". "I've been looking for you little girl..."

Sanya was startled at the sound of smoke talking to her but as it spoke it began to form into a human shape. Arms and legs grew outward from the center and top formed what looked to be like a hooded robe around the eyes. "I've been sent here by my master. You, girl, have robbed him of a precious soul. You made a deal once and somehow, you were able to transfer the deal to another being. An Angel, a soul we can no longer collect now. I regret that I can't rip your soul out at this very moment but there are ways to get our revenge." The newly formed shadow figure had a rather interesting voice it sounded as if hundreds of people were whispering through him at the same time, men, women and even children. Sanya's gaze left the burning eyes and focused on his hand, there a black shaft formed, going all the way to the ground. At the top formed an arching blade, all of it a pitch black but even then the sun glinted off of it like some sort of new type of steel. Sanya had seen something like it before, used by farmers working in the wheat fields. It was a simple yet very frightening weapon. With the figure now fully transformed, it towered over Sanya, she guessed it would have to be almost ten foot in height. Those burning eyes, they never turned from her own.

"I'm... I'm not scared of yo- A loud thud was heard, the ground shaking beneath her feet as the shadowy figure slammed the end of his weapon down to the ground. "Silence you little s**t! You can't even comprehend what is standing before you!" Sanya jerked back, the anger in it's voice was something she had never heard before in a human's voice. It had drastically changed in sound, there was a deep booming growl with each word that sent shivers across Sanya's skin. "All of these insects running around here acting as they have power. Half demons, men who call on the power of pitiful animals? HA, I am power. I am a GOD!" The figure seeemed to grow angrier with it's own words and with each powerful outburst it's own shadowy self seemed to struggle to keep form as if the wind was reaching out and attempting to tear it away from her. "Do you understand? I am the OMEGA! I am the last! I am the end! You, disgusting human girl have earned yourself an audience with me for your trickery against my master."

Sanya's own mind was screaming at her to run, to get as far away as her legs could take. She shook her head, No. She thought, Caellum, Miss Copperkey and Skylar have worked so hard to train me, to make me stronger, I refuse to run this time. In truth, Sanya's legs refused to work, no matter how hard to tried to move them she was frozen still, staring Death in the face. Sanya raised her left arm, spreading her fingers wide and instantly the runed magical shield formed before her, the size reached all the way up to the top of the figure's eyes, a small smirk crossed her face, "You can't hurt me." The shadowy figured laughed, a sickening laugh that made Sanya sick to her stomach. It was like nothing she's ever heard before, the sound of a chain link fence being forced through heavy metal gears as the metal twisted and ripped apart. It made her choke back, she was now overwhelmed by fear and her body began to shake.

It swung...

Sanya's eyes were focused on maintaing the shield but the sight of the arched blade's point sticking through the shield shook her back to reality. The shield instantly shattered, taking on the properties of glass when something was able to break through, the shards scattered in all different directions even passing through the shadowy figure to only vanish as they landed on the ground. Her eyes followed the arched blade's path as it swept through. Her eyes widened, shaking with a fear she had never felt before.

There was a moment of silence before a sharp piercing noise rang through her ears, she realized it was coming from her own mind. As the noise faded she heard the thump of something landing in the grass next to her. Her gaze was stuck on the ground and from the corner she could see her fingers poking up from the grass. The pain rocked through her body making her legs buckle underneath her, she fell to the ground hard on her knees. Sanya let out a scream that echoed out and through the forest. Her right hand frantically searched for it's partner but it only felt the flow of warm blood exiting her body. Her mind was racing to comprehend what had just happened while her whole left side went numb. "Caellum!" Sanya screamed once more, her voice cracking and distorting from the pain.

That laugh, again the figure laughed that horrific sound. "That's only a fraction of the pain your little angel friend went through! Oh how I loved hearing about his torture, the same torture I will put you through as soon as I'm allowed to rip your soul from your flesh." Sanya was not a fighter nor has she been properly trained on how to handle one. Her mind was panicking and foolishly, she raised her right arm up and again the runed shield appeared. This time it was twice the size of the shadowy figure, the runes danced around the outer layer. Sanya wasn't able to even look at her attacker, she just hoped the magical barrier would hold against a second advance.

Another swing...

They were beautiful. The shards of the broken shield flew through the air, reflecting the days light off of them. As soon as they impacted the ground they would shimmer and vanish. She never saw the blade this time but her ears picked up the familiar sound of it slicing through her skin. Sanya let out a bloodcurdling scream, she shrieked with such intensity that it felt like her vocal cords were being ripped from her throat. Her body lurched forward and with the success of the second attack Sanya's body had given up. Still kneeling on the ground, she was hunched over breathing heavily in between the coughs of blood.

Enough. Return to me.

A voice boomed out from somewhere, it was smooth almost heavenly in sound. Like an obedient dog the shadowy figure began to shimmer and dissipate leaving only that horrible grinding metal laugh. Is that the last thing I will hear Sanya thought. The surroundings were now completely silent. The wildlife had long since fled the area, the wind was still and the cafe dark. She was all alone. She struggled to see the cafe, the tears in her eyes were reflecting the sea of blood around her legs, filling her sight with a deep crimson. The snowflakes continued to fall all around her lifeless body, she struggled to even breathe. Seconds seemed like hours as they passed but she didn't move, wasn't able to move.. just breathing.
"Ah... Ah..."

Breathe...
Breathe Sanya...

Ah... Ah...
Ah... Ah...
Ah... Ah...
Ah...
Ah...
See you soon, Papa.

Sanya's voice was soft almost sweet in sound, the pain was gone but her body was going numb. Sanya's eyes closed, her body turned as she fell forward, rolling on her back into the cold snow. As she laid there the snow flakes would gently fall onto her face. They stung her cheeks slightly but she enjoyed the cold touch, the feeling reminded her of home. Soon, she wasn't able to feel even that, her body had stopped shaking, lying there Sanya had become motionless.

Below is what follows from Sanya's sister, Yoshika.

Yoshika had been watching the entire event unfold from the cafe's window. At first she had no interest, it was common for the supernatural to wander upon the cafe. Yoshika stood at the window, watching, waiting. As a spirit returned she had been waiting to appear to Sanya, her sister. Under a divine favor to return Yoshika wasn't able to go out to Sanya's aid because the shadowy figure was an agent of the devil himself.

As soon as she figured the coast was clear Yoshika bolted out the door, running to her sister's side she dropped to her knees and pushed her hands under Sanya in an attempt to pick her up. Her hands went through however, since Yoshika had yet to appear to Sanya she was not allowed to interact with her. Yoshika shook her head, she thrust her hands under Sanya but once more, they passed through her body like air.

"No. No Sanya, you are not going to die like this, not here!" A third time, she placed her hands below Sanya, lifting with all the strength she could muster but again they passed straight through her. Yoshika raised her head, her eyes darting back and forth at the sky. "You did not bring me back to watch my sister die! Pleas-" Yoshika's words were interrupted at the sudden weight she felt in her hands. Looking down she saw she was now supporting Sanya's head, she scooped her up and took off towards the cafe. Under yet another divine favor, Sanya's body was almost weightless in her arms as she hurriedly ran into the cafe, up the stairs and into Sanya's room.

She placed her in the bed, her eyes scanning her sister's body. The wounds weren't gushing as much blood but it was only a sign that she had lost most of it and was seconds away from death. Standing over her sister, Yoshika outstretched her hands and the familiar blueish glow emitted from her palms. Indeed, Yoshika shared the same power as her sister for it was a trait handed down to them both from their mother, a witch. However, Yoshika was younger than Sanya and her powers even weaker but it was clear that she was receiving heavenly assistance to help heal her sister.

Hours passed but Yoshika's power did not wane, the bleeding had stopped but Sanya's usual pale skin was almost blue in color. The wounds on what remained of Sanya's arms had sealed over. Their family's healing powers were strong to close wounds but not strong enough to regenerate full limbs. Yoshika stared at her sister, the shadowy figure had cleanly taken off both of Sanya's arms right above the elbow. Sanya was at least breathing but it was deep and heavy and too much time passed in between each breath.

Yoshika continued to look over her sister, she wanted to cry but she felt barely any emotion. She now understood what Caellum was dealing with, it had to due with being a spirit. Right now though, she didn't know it if was more of a blessing or a curse. She frowned at the scarred tissue of Sanya's arms. Yoshika got up and rummaged around in Sanya's clothing bag. She pulled out a small white and gray dress, it was an older dress one that they were required to wear during prayer at church. Sanya was much too big to fit in it so Yoshika began to rip the sleeves off of it. She tied the ends of each sleeve together to form a small cup at the top. She slipped them over the remains of Sanya's arms and neatly tightened small ribbons on each arm to keep them on.

Yoshika stopped, she nodded at an unseen presence. "I see. This is why you brought me back. Thank you. But. I'm not done yet, I need to tell the others of the events that transpired here today." Yoshika nodded once more and headed back towards Sanya. She placed her hand on Sany's shoulder and gently placed a kiss on her forehead. As she lifted her lips off, her hand slowly sunk through Sanya, Yoshika had returned to her spirit self. Heading to the door She looked back at Sanya who was still motionless on the bed before gently closing the door after leaving the room. As she left she looked down at the door knob, copper. It was a good sign, if it was copper it meant there was life on the other side. Yoshika had managed to save Sanya, at least for now. The future depended on Sanya's friends and her own will to survive.

Yoshika made her way down into the dining hall, her gaze shifted around. Outside the pool of Sanya's blood could still be seen and a trail of it led all the way into the cafe and up the stairs. Other people would have to clean it up however, for Yoshika's duty was to wait and tell the story of Sanya.
