I'll hide away the sun
Just for right now I swear
Not doing it for fun
I do it cause I'm scared
What if it should go out?
And leave us dark and cold?
Stored safe I'll have no doubt
It never will be sold.
For look at people here
Trustworthy they are not
They're full of greed and fear
With them the sun would rot
Please have no worries where
I plan to keep it safe
I'll throw it in the air
And pin it up in space
I'll keep it far too high
From all you on the ground
Kept safe up in the sky
I'll let the light shine down
And maybe, just perhaps
Straight through this fog of greed
The light will shine a path
Allowing all to see
Till then I shall not grieve
I'll wait for you to see

Place of Poetry
Seeing as I use this account more than my original, Blair Phoenix, I figured I'd move all my poetry over to this account.
"The world is not beautiful, therefore it is."
I am male. Sorry to disappoint.
