History- Mar's family is deeply rooted in Snowpoint City. The city's Pokemon Center is double-teamed by Mar's mother and aunt, Henrietta and Aunt Eleanor. Her older sis Olivia forms the Nurse trio as an apprentice. Her father Gregory Hawthorn, an established Ice-type Pokemon breeder, runs a ranch on the outskirts of the city. Her older brother Jackson co-operates the family ranch alongside their father. The family tree grows larger as it extends all the way to Icirrus City where her uncle (On her father's side), the famous Brycen, runs his Ice-type gym. To say the least, Mar's blood runs long and cold.
Where her siblings followed in their parents footsteps, Mar branched off to carve her own path. As a child she was given her first Pokemon, Swinub, and instantly found her calling as a trainer. In her first battle she defeated and caught a Snorunt. She befriended her third, Seel, near the docks of her hometown. Shortly after, on a trip to her uncle's home, an injured Dratini found refuge with her. Crobat and Growlithe both came last on a visit to Castelia city. Crobat was merely a Zubat back then, and had played one too many tricks on the short-tempered Growlithe. She broke up the fight and took home two new friends who learned to (somewhat) get along.
As Brycen's neice and an up and coming trainer, she's met and battled with many Ice specialty gym leaders from different regions and honed her skills regarding the type.
