Not Very Much Reading Material I basically save character profiles in here. I prefer paper for traditional journal entries. :/

Irmahli "Spider" Lopez
I've only used her once, and I may again, one day....

Age: 25
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Demisexual
Species: Three quarters human, one quarter demon
Personality: Suffice it to say that she'd rather bury her nose in a book than keep company with another sentient being. This isn't purely out of an intellectual hunger, though; this is an attempt at escapism. Underneath that deceptively-calm, collected, and cerebral exterior, she's jaded and defensive. As far as Holy Order members go, she's not the most loyal member. Nevertheless, fear, desperation, and rationalisations go a long way.
History: Irmahli was born to a human mother and half-demon father. After a short, rocky series of relations, her mother became unexpectedly pregnant and her father, a licentious drifter, soon left the woman without a trace. The girl's mother, Janette, was already in an economic bind and did all she could to care and provide for the child in the slums of Fyrite; unfortunately, Janette couldn't defend them against the underground crime ring, which endlessly terrorised her neighbourhood. She already didn't inherit much of the physical prowess of her father's side and she was never one for confrontation, but the violence and vice surrounding her left a mental scar and became much of the reason for her pacifism. No, she found a haven in education and gave herself to the lofty pursuit of knowledge (a child prodigy). She was at least fortunate that her demonic heritage, and her clairvoyance, were a secret to all but her mother; she would have wound up in the Holy Order much sooner if that were so.

Much as she loved her only parent, Irmahli didn't want to burden her mother any longer and didn't want to remain in her barren, derelict hometown forever. But without the ability to pay for a university education, she sought the next best thing: the clergy. She found herself studying at Khador Cathedral (just as the Grand Holy Master had) in mid-adolescence. She came to the Cathedral having seen or heard little of the Holy Order and assumed it was benign, but soon, she was gainfully enlightened of the human sacrifice, the mercenary work, and the hypocrisy laden in its doctrine. Nevertheless, she felt trapped and remained against her better judgement. As a pacifist, she refused and still refuses to engage in any combat or violence, and so she was nearly ex-communicated and "eliminated" by the order. However, she was complicit in every other area and was of great intellectual value to the Order as a scholar, polyglot, and amateur seer and so she was spared. But even then, she still isn't in good standing with the Holy Order's powers that be.
