Alright... just to give you an idea of what some people (but not all) are like where I live, let me tell you what happened last night (or this morning, I dont really know.)

As all of you probably know, this is usually the time when everyone that's in school is either doing midterms or finals (depending on whether you're in college or not). I'm in the middle of finals right now, so I've had to use a lot of my free time working on final projects, studying for tests, etc. Naturally that means that I can't talk as much as usual.

One of my friends, whose name I won't reveal, apparently had been trying to contact me on facebook. He's also called my phone, so he basically tried everything he could to contact me. Thing is, my phone won't hold a charge anymore, and because of my finals, I haven't been on facebook as much lately. When I could, I would message him back, but he messages me a LOT, even during my class hours.

So last night he was tired of not getting replies from me, and assumed that I was deliberately avoiding him. He's 31 years old and doesn't understand that finals are going on right now? Jeez.... XP

So yeah, he doesn't want to be friends anymore, and I'm honestly not too affected by it. It sounds terrible, yeah, but it's odd that he's nearly 10 years older than me and he's hanging out with me and not people his own age... On top of that, I'm doing way better than he is financially and pretty much in everything else (school, friends, etc). If I'm gonna be friends with someone as old as him, I'd want to look up to him as a role model, as somebody I'd want to be when I'm his age. Instead it feels like I'm his... Or something.... It's just awkward... XP

The thing that's also striking, is this guy is about the same age as my cousin Billy, who is married, has a steady job, lives in a really nice condo, went to college, and has two beautiful daughters. This is about where I'd expect Tom to be. And he CAN do it, he's not stupid......

So yeah.. It kinda sucks, but I don't feel like it was a great loss... I had a busy, difficult year so I'll make it without him.
