Once there was a girl who went to an anime convention with a couple friends. She was the only one in cosplay. While they were wandering around, discouraged because nobody recognized her character, they suddenly spotted a certain male person who happened to be cosplaying the character that goes with hers. Approaching him, they talked and instantly clicked. They walked together, and suddenly crowds of people gathered around demanding yaoi photos. The couple gladly posed, and by the end of the second day, they were in love. That girl had never fallen harder for anyone before, nor had she experienced love at first sight before, but she fell fast and hard for this boy. Time went on and they begun to hang out outside of the convention, going on dates and such. She had never been happier in her whole life. But then, after 4 months of dating, she got a text from him saying he was grounded because of grades, and she lost contact with him for almost a month. When she got up to courage to call him again, his mother answered the phone. When she asked for him, his mother replied, "I'm sorry, I wish it could've worked out." And hung up.
That girl never felt so devastated, so alone, than on that day. She cried. She cried a lot. She curled up in a ball and hoped it was all a dream. She texted and called and emailed the boy, but she never got a reply. He never even said goodbye. She prayed that he'd call, or contact her, but he never did.
This, my friends, is a true story. It happened to me. It happened in January of 2012, and to this day, I still cry about it. I don't know why. I know it's silly, and I know he isn't worth it. But I just can't tell myself to just let go.
