These days thanks to video offers and surveys, GC is extremely easy to get without paying. However, there are those who do buy GC on a monthly basis as well. This is a guide on how to earn GC efficiently through offers and how to spend it efficiently as well.
Earning GC The easiest way to earn GC is through video offers. They work as following:
First of all, the kind of video offers will greatly differ based on your region and generally the US seems to get the most offers.
Second of all, the video offers are quota based. Meaning that the company offers to pay for 'x' views and once those views are filled up, the offer is taken down. This is why you're allowed to view multiples of the same video to earn GC and why offers are more frequent and abundant at night. People are sleeping, so the quotas won't fill up fast until morning time. More specifically, it seems like the most offers are posted at midnight Pacific Standard Time though sometimes offers will appear as late as 1-3 AM.
Social Vibe gives you the most bang for your buck (9-30+ GC). So if you see that available, you should go for that first. However, the other ones will often give you repeats of the same video for 3-4 GC each and that can also add up.
The other way to get GC quickly is through the "Free Offers" section. However, there are a few important things to remember when using this section.
One- Make sure it's actually free. There are plenty of offers that require you to buy something or put in personal information, but are still listed as free. Make sure you read the information below the offer before clicking on it.
Two- be wary of ones that require you to install or download something. Gaia does not filter these offers ahead of time. So if you download something for an offer, you're doing so at your own risk.
Generally, the best ones are survey offers which will generally give 100 to 200 GC. However, these are very hit and miss. Mainly they will make you fill out questions to place you within a certain demographic. And if they're not interested in your demographic or the quota for your demographic is filled, they'll filter you out. Also, once again, be wary of giving personal information. If you are not comfortable with the amount of information the survey is asking you to give, it's probably a good idea to not give it.
When you completed the offer, it's actually a really good idea to screencap the page saying that you've completed the offer and I'll explain why in a bit.
How to Screencap Press "Prt Sc" button in the upper right corner of your keyboard. Open MS Paint. Press CTRL+V. Click Save As. Name the document whatever is easy for you to remember and save it in a place that's easy to remember.
If you feel not sure about potentially sending someone information, the idea is to have the entire browser window in the screen cap, most importantly, the URL of the "completed offer" page along with the page saying that you completed the offer. Also include your desktop clock so you can verify what time you completed the offer.
Furthermore, it's really important to keep track of what offers you do. Not all offers will process right away and some will take up to 24 hours. However, if you have completed an offer and were not granted the GC you were promised, here's a few things you can do.
Halp. I did an offer but no GC. What do? It's very hard to see, but in the "Earn Cash" section, in the blue header bar all the way to the left there is a link that says "Support". If you click on it, it will bring up a list of offers you have "viewed" and offers you have "completed". If you have completed an offer and it still says "viewed", that means your offer either didn't go through or hasn't been processed yet. Keep in mind, as stated above, some offers can take up to 24 hours to process. However, if that time has passed and you still haven't recieved you GC, go back to the "Support" link, find the offer you completed but didn't go through, and click "Contact Support".
Fill out the information asked. They'll usually ask for some kind of "email confirmation". However, most of the offers don't send email confimation, so here's where your screencap of you completing the offer comes in handy.
Upload you screencap to tinypic.com or whatever site you feel comfortable uploading the picture. Include the link where it mentions including "email confirmation" and be sure to mention that you did not receive an email confirmation. Afterwards, you should eventually receive your GC, but make sure to check your email to see if there's any additional information needed.
Anyway, through the methods above, you can slowly save up large amounts of GC that you can use to buy items you want or list said items on the marketplace to buy items you want. Below is more information on how to get the most bang for your buck if you choose the latter.
Spending GC So, you happen to have GC whether through spending your own money or through the method above. Obviously GC by itself doesn't do anything, so here's some tips on how to smartly spend GC to make the most of things.
Generally, you want to look for things where 100GC = 100k. Or something as close to that as possible, if not above. Believe it or not, REIs while popular will generally be way below this, but if you have reason to believe that they'll rise in price enough to break the threshold, they can be worth it. Same with RIG bundles. While they are very easy to sell, you'll also be getting somewhere around 800k for 999GC. Naturally, you'll be getting way less if you actually open the bundle. So, that's not something I reccomend.
The idea is to generally look at Marketplace prices of GC items in stock and also look at the "units sold per day". If the "units sold per day" is too slow, keep in mind there's a high chance that you'll be undercut before your item sells.
Also, if you're from the US, it doesn't hurt to take a look at Mecha Neko items since they'll sometimes be above the ratio. Just keep in mind that these items are slow to sell.
Another option is to save for special sales like Black Friday. These are much harder to do since it can be difficult to wait and not spend. However, you'll guranteed get the highest GC to gold conversion.
Note: If you are a hoarder, items from the CS are generally not good for hoarding, but rather for quick profit. The exception is items like RIG bundles and REI (for really short term hoarding), or EIs (long term hoarding). With REIs and EIs, you generally want to keep track of the popularity of the item as that will greatly determine how much profit you'll make. However, in most cases, it's much better to buy and sell items with high GC to gold conversion and buy the items you want to hoard with gold.
And that's more or less it. If you have any questions, comment here or PM me.
