Halloween night. The air is cold and crispy, the night is dark except for the light of the pale moon. Children,wearing costumes of monsters, vampires, superheros, fairies, and many other strange wonders ran underneath bare tree branches, holding their bags and plastic pumpkin buckets, toward lit up and/or decorated Halloween houses.

"Trick or treat!" The children would chime, for the sweet rewards that would be given for them. Just a normal, Halloween night. Jenny smiled as she heard her doorbell ring and quickly grabbed her cauldron full of candy. When she reached the door, she found the children there holding their bags, saying, "Trick or treat!"

"Why hello there!" She said to the three children. Two of them were boys dressed as pirates, the other was a girl who was dressed as a mermaid. A movement caught her eye in the dark background beyond her porch light. The figure that move was moving back and forth, crawling, walking, and crawling again. It swung its arms from side to side for a while. It was eerie. The children glanced over their shoulders and looked at me strangely. They did not see the figure. Blending into darkness again, the figure had vanished. Jenny shook her head, dismissing it as her imagination and smiled back at the kids. Handing them their candy, she shut the door and waited for the next group of Trick or Treaters to come.

The door bell rang. Jenny smiled and went to her door. This time there were no Trick or Treaters. She frowned in confusion as she went inside and waited again. The doorbell rang again. She rushed this time her eyes widen in horror. There were no Trick or Treaters, but a pumpkin bucket full of candy laying on it's sides....a trail of blood leading from it. Her eyes widen in horror as she ran, following the blood, into the darkness. A scream and shouts. Growls and roars sounded along with crackings of bone and the tearing of flesh...almost muffled by the darkness of the night.
